And focus is used for defensive spells, Willpower is just used for resisting the effects of low Phyche, so I don't see why everyone thinks it's better.

Oh for crying out...You forgot to keep the secret to after the game starts. Plus you forgot player instinct. In games like this, their goal is to dispose of those of higher power than them. The guards are apparently of higher power than any of us. Our instinct is to annihilate them and fight over the spoils.
This game was supposed to be about guilds fighting each other, and now everyone want to burn the city down.
And the game hasn't even started!
