Yeah, there was a leak of the ending cinematic. I managed to get a look at it before it was taken down. It's a lame twist, and it involves time travel/alternate realities.

Damn.  Why do things have to escalate to such ridiculous stupidity?  I wish more people knew how to put out sequels while preserving a lower key.

This isn't exactly pathetic, but I find it fitting for this, though I savescummed like a bastard afterward:
I woke up with my total badass adventurer surrounded by about 30 goblins. This wouldn't be a proble, but one of their archers had shot my throat out.
While I was sleeping.
I killed them all, bled out, and then savescummed, walked into their ambush again, and kicked them until all their bones were broken and then killed each of them.
Revenge is sweet.
