and yet that still isn't an excuse because once again... Gandalf "Knew" he would lose.

Anything he did during godhood would be far less then what Sauron, and how viciously evil he is, would do. A good old continent smashing was just what they needed.
He specifically wasn't allowed so that the mortals would make their own destiny. He could only give council.

Dumbledore is human.
...so?

So Gandalf is barred from Godhood... which we don't even know how he goes into that mode.

I mean... what stops Gandalf from going to godmode and going "Yeah, I win anyway. Reset"?
Huh? No, I mean he's not allowed to use his power to, say, assume control over a human empire and try to conquer the world, Saruman. He probably can use his power against sufficiently powerful beings like the Balrog. Anyhow, this is assuming no limitations, is it not?
Although I support the idea of them teaming up instead of fighting. They should team up with Yoda too. That would be one of the scariest fighting teams ever.

...
Quick, everyone think of names of old wise people do we can compile them into a guild!

Or denying Jackie Chan the use of his arms, legs, and whatever random objects he can find

Well no... because at no time did Gandalf decide that "Maybe it is better if I ascend to godhood for a short period of time to fix middle earth".

Remember Gandalf did not believe he would succeed. He was doing a suicide mission from the start.

This is like saying "Jackie Chan who was a rocket scientist as a part time job several years ago. Stumbles upon his old death star." It is far removed from current Jackie Chan.
Gandalf's masters tried that once; they kinda broke a continent.

As I like to think of it, villains in Tolkein are like this big mecha with steam punk galore, interlocking parts, stuff like that, it's unstoppable and all intimidating. However, wizards are the one splinter that comes out of nowhere and hits the mech in the exact right spot to make it explode spectacularly.

I like this guy. I like him a LOT.

People don't seem to understand what exactly Gandalf is

I understand what he is, it is just that... well... "Just because you are all that in your neighbourhood it doesn't mean you are Mr. Bigshot here"

Dumbledore is good in a universe where magic itself is a lot more impressive. Which translates into being godlike in the Lord of the Rings universe.

You do not get a pass just because you are considered "Hot stuff" in your own universe.

I agree; its like comparing Darth Vader with Superman. Sure, Vader is one of the most powerful characters in his universe, but Superman can just drop a mountain on him.

Although I still maintain that Dumbledore wouldn't have time to do anything; he would be disarmed immediately by Gandalf because Dumbledore's disarming spell is slower.
Fixed it for continuity.

But then theres a diffrent betwen our spheres, becuse my god is the embodiment of order as in not anarchy
You are (once you get in) an embodiment of order in civilizations; he is an embodiment of universal order.
Which makes it odd that he's fire, but eh.

He says so himself; he's the most dangerous person they're ever going to meet besides Sauron.

Yeah but this is Lord of the Rings universe... A man with an Uzi would be the most dangerous person in middle earth.

A man with an Uzi would also arguably be the most dangerous person in the Wizarding world.
I think J.K. Rowling said a Muggle with a gun would beat a wizard anytime. I don't remember when, though.
That begs the question as why no one in the HP universe uses guns.

If your and eldar god you shouldent be of order since elder gods embodies elmental power and order is a human concept
No, order as in lack of entropy. Order is a very inhuman concept.
