Alayne, Accidentally Forgetting To Post For Several Days

"Whoo my me, that's quite the view! I really should be sharing it with somebody. If only there were a certain magical individual in sight. Hmm. I could cause a cheese commotion to lure Ventis out like the proverbial mouse. But I'm a princess, even if in disguise, and princesses are supposed to be able to act delicately and gracefully. Buuuuut if I'm to catch a wizard, I have to think like a wizard!"

Alan casts his mind back to a piece of advice lent to him by a true wizard long, long ago.

"Wizards like magic missiles. Missiles are technically a propulsion system. The propulsion system for this blimp is the bird heart thing, which is magic! That's where Ventis is, my logic is impeccable."

To the power core! Or somewhere where observing it is possible - if anyone questions me about why I'm wandering about where I shouldn't be, say I have a message from Lord Audrey for Ventis that needs to be delivered ASAP so if they have directions that would be nice.

Don't you have a blind dwarf to run?  :p
Cog's stuck in the middle of a glitchy ocean. It's taking days of irl time to move him manually over the ocean. I haven't had much time to resume him cos of recent life developments, but my one regret is that I haven't been able to resume Cog ;(
I remember having that happen at one point with a DF character - I eventually resorted to temporarily modding in the ability to fly so that I wouldn't have to inevitably die in an insta-glacier. Mayhaps that might be a solution to your woes?

Oh dear. That action. That kitchen. Why?
((Alan's part of a chain of silly characters somewhat detached from reality that I've been cultivating for quite a while. Niklas there was one of my previous iterations of it.))

Alan, Waitress

Keep mingling with the guests as I carry food platters around and stuff, passively picking up whatever gossip I can like a princess sponge. Make sure to head around as many areas as I can to ensure I hear as much as I can. The kitchen too, those are hives of gossip and Alayne is just the sort of metaphorical beekeeper needed to extract it.

Oh, and if I manage to spot Lord Audrey or Ventis that'd be cool too.

Oh, I've got an idea! Thanks dream.

Omni-stick: A metal handle with an array of buttons and knobs on it. Can transform/unfold into virtually any mundane melee weapon - sword, spear, whip, halberd, club, spiked club, hammer, stave, trash grabber, you name it. Does require a relatively high intelligence to use effectively, however, because the user's manual equivalent for it was lost long ago and so the user needs to figure out how to make it form the weapon or tool they desire.

This is gonna be a somewhat bizarre question, but does anyone here have any experience with calculating population growth? I need to approximate the pop growth of some space dinosaurs over a ten-year period and I'm kinda unsure what percentages would be appropriate for the different species I have.

Asking here because it's a rather strange thing to be contemplating without context as to why, and I can't find a general science thread or anything.
This is related to ugghh... Dino Crisis ... 3? (Even tipyig it is disgusting)

If so please walk away and use any form of mental bleach.
Nope, a 40k forum game I'm running that involves psychic dinosaurs. I've been procrastinating on figuring out how their population of mundane dinos is gonna grow because the prospect of researching actual dinosaur or stand-in hypothetical population growth rates that I can transpose onto population growth equations seems like a lot of work, but it's something I'll need to get around to at some point.

Took out the 2 stat and 6 substat points, all from Movement and its subsections.
mmm. still, exceptional in two forms of melee combat. Well, it is what it is at this point, I think. Good enough.
I could've adjusted it to some other configuration, but this way was easier and I was honestly gonna get to that point by the next time I'd completed a mission anyway. The stabbity will not be denied!

((...did the thing where I thought I posted when I clearly didn't. My bad.))

Alayne, Servant Girl

"Hmm. Being involved in amusing distractions among the kitchen folk would be interesting - I've always been at home in them for some reason. But then I'd miss Ventis, and I simply must be friends with him. Wizard beards make for the best hugging, after all."

Find those stairs and head up them into the observation deck, acting appropriately subtle - gotta play the part of a good serving girl, after all!

So, I PM'd Harry Baldman a while ago and he recently replied and said he had quit not only the game but Bay12 forums entirely, so the campaign group will probably need Ike to be auto'd. he said he'd mention it to paris but  since I haven't seen anything I thought I'd just put it out here so we could continue.

((Ah, that's somewhat of a shame to see him go, though understandable. Won't be the same without his unflappable approach to the batshit scenarios this game cooks up for us.))

I’d suggest nerfing the lathal reward, or perhaps making it more along the lines of unique perks or equipment or something. Adding more numbers will just exacerbate the issue.

So stat points cover both stats and skills then? Gak will probably look something like ... this then.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

He's effectively got apprentice body, master movement, exceptional with two types of melee combat, and is rather meh on everything else.

Working as intended?

So with the various finalizations to the new system, Gak's base sheet would look like this:

I suppose you'd dictate how many stat points existing characters would get, Oz?

So then something like this (non-leveled up) for Gak would be workable?
