Oh good, you're already doing that.

She was talking about hearing her parents talk about moving with her when she goes to college. As far as I know she isn't free yet.
Oh, my bad, I thought she was moving out.  Or planning to at least.  But AFAIK, at least in the US,  they CAN'T follow her to college, at least to the extent that they can probably move there but they are powerless to interfere.
Caroline currently lives in Honduras, unless I'm mistaken. Could very well be planning to go to college in the US though, in which case that statement would apply.

I am punished for the weekend. Grades came in today.

See, even though right now I am pulling a fucking 4.1 GPA, and have the highest average I've had in my life, I got an 87 in one class which means I am a fuckig failure, and now my chances of getting a scholarship are extremely lowered (fun fact: My parents make waaaaay more money than I thought they did, but they have not one cent saved up for my college, so my best hope is a full scholarship. Also, I totally have to go to an Ivy League because I can), and for their "effort" I can't just flunk it all down because of my stupidity, and I always fuck everything up, and...

Also, my mom is still mad at me for reading instead of taking another AP class.

I really need to take some time to cool off...  :-\
4.1 GPA? And they're pissed at you for not doing good enough?
I've had outbursts of befuddlement before, but whaaa?
Wha?
Why ... why the hell?
What ... er ... look, I'm not even sure here, that's an insanely high grade standard to be getting and from your previous posts it's obviously cost you way more than it's worth with mental stress and such, I don't understand why they consider you a failure because of that. It's like the stereotype of Asian parents punishing their kids if they don't get 100% in everything, only taken seriously.
Like, shit.

Major hugs to you, Caroline. Goddamn.

I mean who the fuck gets mad at their kid for reading instead of taking yet another advanced course? Kids are kids, not achievement robots.

Oh, that too. Truth be told it's where I learned quite a bit of pragmatism-fu as well.

Like always go for the testicles if you have the opportunity.
Well, and have to fight in the first place, last resort and all.

Apart from the various forms of reality-fu, a style of karate called Go-Ju Ryu, meaning Hard-Soft Style. Admittedly I'm still working on the soft part, because it's much easier to punch someone's jaw in half than it is to move just so to hook someone else's punch in and get them off balance and break their knee in three moves.
Part of the thing though. Even though I'm a black belt you never stop learning, which is what I love about it.

It's Xan, he's never been nice nor ever will be. As soon as ultimate safety is assured recompense will be collected in full.
A great toll will be made.

Also he never really stopped believing in that, it's just that the simplicity of his faith evolved. Before he was aware of anyone else he didn't see himself as an exception to the corpses, just a moving one. Now that he's had some time to digest his interactions with others...

All is meat. Human flesh, haebi fungus, synthflesh, all of it meat. All structured differently, all easy enough for someone like him to grasp how it works. He's done that. Now he focuses on that which pilots the meat. The fact that he's died and yet remains proves to his mind that there's something there. He will grasp and consume it as he has done the flesh. It is only a matter of time and prudence.

And the main reason I discuss this so much in OOC is because his hard-earned prudence means he'll hardly ever if at all talk about it with anyone else.

In Britain we ban everything, even assault vases
There was actually a big thing back with the umbrellas that had sword handles and hilts, since the police kept nearly getting heart attacks and bobbly sticks out over brolleys
In NZ it's illegal to carry a weapon. A weapon is defined as anything that is used as a weapon. :. it is illegal to carry anything.
And if you have any martial skills here your fists and feet (I suppose in some cases also your elbows, knees and forehead) become legally classed as deadly weapons
Shit I'd better never go to England.

Alan suddenly stops his dance routine and petulantly huffs while looking in a random direction.

"Ahem, narrator, I didn't see me actually asking the locals my question. Allow me to repeat it for you:
"Sup, new aquaintizzles? What's hanging, aside from any executions your people may have recently performed in which case not cool?"

So can I say this pls?"

Say/interpretive dance my greeting.

Meanwhile Xan had a backstory, but he's evolved so far from his original character concept that it's basically become irrelevant, and I consider him to have mostly forgotten it beyond a few things by now due to all the dying and reincarnation.
About the only thing he remembers is how he used to believe that the natural state of life was death.

Oh I intend to buy a med stim and use it in the procedure, but I wanna be ... careful. Too much risk for things to go wrong without me adding alien god influence into it as well.

Hey at least it decreases my token cost for the total thing.

But that's why I'm asking, since it'll affect how I distribute the points.

Xankarvo flinches slightly at the sheer impact of the words, but defiantly states back into the source of them, his expression steady with contempt.

"We came into this realm on a quest of great import! I, Xankarvo, Grand Wizard, seek the First Heaven and the First God! And I would wager you are not it."

Be pompous as fuck

See if I have any form of special eyes in this body or just regular eyes. Continue following at the almost back of the group.
Passively prepare anti-mindfuck defences, scan area for weird shit, generally be exceedingly cautious as someone with my level of experience being fucked over by amps would be by this point.

Thing is I was initially going with that +4 Med was enough for my purposes, and I would make up the difference with some other skill boosts that don't quite matter now. Because with the amps compromised I don't wanna risk screwing over my end goal by adding an alien god into the mix, which is dangerous enough as it is. So I figure I can make up the difference with sheer medical expertise.

-snip-

Oh dear. Speaking from experience, you know the person us up to... something special, when mere +4 Mastery is not enough for him.

Go go Xan! (For the record: you already have initial +2 in Med from chargen, judging by the wiki stats, so you are probably speaking about shifting the level-up points, not chargen bonuses/penalties. Or, more likely, you meant something else and I misunderstood you.)
Yeah, I've planz in da making.
But what I was meaning was would it theoretically be possible for me to, with the respec that PW offered, get rid of my whole +3 investment in Exo, including the chargen boost I gave myself, and pump it all into Med. Thing is I'm not sure if that'd be wholly fair or not.
