So basically your rule is perpetuating cycles of hate for petty revenge that does not actually help?
There is no perpetual cycle; my rule is to end the cycle. The current 'rule' in society is to lock them up for a few years and then let them go. That perpetuates the cycle.
So if I killed all the rapists in the world there would be no more rape? Well I can't believe no one ever thought of genocide like that before ::)

More or less yes. Kill all instances of smallpox, you end smallpox. Kill all rapists, you stop rape.
...I can only see this working with infinite personell and time travel. Unfortunately, things don't work like that, as rape is not a disease.
*sigh*
No it isn't a disease. It is an act. Remove those who commit said act, you remove the act.
Again, only possible with time travel/reality warping. Not gonna happen.

Hey LW, you forgot the 'Stephen Hawking becomes Skynet' option.
...I actually thought about putting that, but I thought no one would notice ;-;
I went through a phase where I assigned a world end to every famous person I knew. I lost the list, but still.

Can you try and remember?
...Rebecca Black - hacks every speaker in the world to constantly play 'Friday'
-Justin Beiber - eventually genderbends to girl then back to guy, etc, and oscillates between guy and girl that he breaks reality.
I'll try and post a more complete list tomorrow.

While I've certainly had my fair share of moments where I would have loved nothing more than to hum placidly along to a throng of unified, tormented mortal screams as the streets flooded with the warm blood of the masses and life in its entirety was swallowed up in the soul-searing flames of a world-cleansing inferno, I generally try to ignore my more homicidal tendencies, and instead do my best to follow a single simple rule whenever I'm dealing with the lives of others:

Avoid killing when you can, recompense for it when you can't (well, try to, at least).

I also have a simple rule: If anyone dares to harm an innocent, make them pay.
You have no idea how tempting that statement is...
*smack*
No! Bad homicidal alternate personality!

For me, at least.

General Discussion / Re: Things that made you sad today thread.
« on: December 19, 2012, 10:36:31 pm »
I'm not sure if this makes me terrified or sad or what, but I seem to have realized I have no real problem with the world possibly ending on Friday. I don't really have any regrets or anything where I think I should have done this! or Why did I do that? I mean, there's screwups and mistakes I regret doing in the past, but nothing where I feel if I could relive life I'd do it differently or really feel bad that I missed out on something. There's no bucket list I gotta rush out to do.

My only real regret is that I'll probably never see humanity really get beyond our solar system, devise faster-than-life travel, tame dragons, clone rocketcheetahs, or do anything so awesome.

Honestly I find the thought of the world as we know it ending to be an invigorating and pleasant change of pace, if anything even does happen. If I die, I'm cool with that.
That is called contentment. Aka happy.

Posting to watch.

My two cents:

Some people deserve to be killed. The true monsters; rapists, child molesters and the like. I would have no problem if one of them was brutally killed in front of me. In fact, I would most likely join in.

You realize that most rapists, etc are that way because they were abused as children and they have some serious mental issues going on, right? There are indeed born rapists and stuff, and that is totally different, but what about the ones that were BEATEN into being a rapist? How do they equate in your 'totally deserves to die' scale?
Plus it becomes rather awkward when you have to decide whether to beat yourself to death if you are, falsely or not, accused of raping.

As a dragon made of stars, roar at the younglings, establishing myself as their god.
Start them on the path of technological advancement, starting with house/dwelling construction. I can't have my dragons living in caves, after all!

So how is this happening? Can you literally not see what you're doing as you adventure?
Anyhow, PTW.

If killing people for such things is okay, how are you 'entitled' to your view, can't I just kill you if I disagree enough?
Assuming s/he hasn't killed you already.

General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread
« on: December 19, 2012, 09:26:01 pm »
Well, I don't think we enforce a rule that doesn't allow people to write any other dreams than their last dream but it would be kinda long if you post your whole journal here. So, give us your best dreams!

Haha, yeah, I think if I posted it all the thread would break. Been journalling dreams for the last 5 years or so. Once you do it for awhile you start remembering dreams every day and they get real lengthy and more contiguous (idk how else to call it, but the images don't shift as much like dropping into a new story for no reason). I'll see if I can rustle up some of the more interesting ones. Lately they're all boring versions of "here is an axe for your head!" though.
Essentially what Leatra said. Whichever dreams you want to post here, DOO EET. FOR TEH GUOD OF ALL BAY12.
