True, in a situation in which it is very likely based on what you know that you are being pursued with hostile intentions by one or more beings with unknown physical form, mental capabilities, or other abilities, it would make sense to be on watch for abnormalities in the situation so you could decide whether said abnormality was caused by the unkown being(s) pursuing you with malign intentions or not, but to remain that way all the time, even in situations where (by the particular paradigm you have) it is unlikely that you have hostile intentions projected toward you, is called paranoia, which I understand is rather taxing on the mental states of humans.
