3. The vines don't appear to be intelligent. They just got a basic instinct. Ie, grow around something, contract when tension rises, then feed on the corpse. Training them as a pet is going to be hard, if not impossible.

Or we could gather dead murderous vines and sell them. And if we make enemies we can use that to kill them by selling live murderous vines instead.Perfect plan. actually, if we can breed them to be pets that would be awesome.
