Still - feasible idea, burning down the planet, if done correctly. We just need samples of all the plants on the planet and a shield dome impenetrable by fire. Then, hello scorched earth!

Considering that the entire planet is covered in vegetation, you would end up starting a massive and uncontrollable firestorm.Almost always not a good idea. Unless, if we had some human plants with us, and an impenetrable shield, we could burn down the rest of the planet and recolonize with our earthplants!
