These are actually perpendicular streets that meet somewhere in the Abandoned Warehouse District, so named because it was used as a warehouse district before being abandoned due to all of the various superheroes wanting to fight there to minimize civilian casualties. It has naturally filled up with squatters, the unemployed, and supervillains, making sure that it will remain abandoned.((Heh. I think that's an Authority reference.))
