Don't worry, I'm somewhat amused by it too. Funnily enough it made me a better person in RL because I channeled pretty much all the aspects of myself that'd be labeled as evil into Darnos.
Or to put it in other words I split into Kami and Piccolo.

Eh, we'll see how Darren's character develops. I doubt he'll develop any relationships here since I took the preemptive measure of giving him a relationship outside of school, who he still wants to make up for blowing up her face on accident with.

Hi-fives his friend without thinking -> friend is screaming on the ground as half the flesh on their palm gets blasted off, Darren traumatized

Kisses his girlfriend at the end of a really good 3-month anniversary date -> girlfriend in the hospital with her jaw broken and the inside of her mouth lacerated to all hell from the shrapnel her teeth became, Darren traumatized and injured

His life is suffering.
Just to okay up the Hulk allegory.

Oh, I made a minor alteration to Darren's character sheet - until he learns to control his magic better, he constantly wears really bulky gloves. Doesn't help when he accidentally directs his magic into something, but it helps with not involuntarily breaking things he touches.

From what I've inferred, it's two or more people who get off on trying to kill each other but need someone to make sure they don't actually.

Basically they roleplay batman and joker a little too heavily.

So long as the character you start to grow inside your mind doesn't start with the concept of 'sadistic serial killer' and get worse from there, you'll be fine though.

He shrugs.

Assume I don't know what happened down on whatever mission we were on, because I don't really. I'm only told I 'went full flesh horror', which isn't very descriptive at all. What happened?

He doesn't seem overly concerned about bringing up this clearly traumatic experience.
