I just used my first bunch of energy on the things that give you extra energy per second, until I got a whole 1 per sec deal. Then I just focused on my army.

HOW DID YOU DO THIS
I've been grinding them for ever since I got energy and I still only reached .974522 per second as of now.

How much time was no time?

What matters is how much mutagen and patience you have.  Ascending as fast as possible isn't the best plan.

Ten million or so isn't a terrible start, but if you can persist, you get a third mutation slot for 244 million.  Get some change above that so you can power them up.

Whichever way you go, absolutely don't spend it all at once.  The larva bonus from unspent mutagen is huge early on.

Ended up reading mine from 2011, ended up with me realizing I have not done shit. Gives me a sad.

Oh, if I read the one I made this year I'd realize that I haven't made any progress toward them and likely never will. Luckily, with the power of denying my problems exist until they punch me in the face and force me to acknowledge them, I can continue doing useless shit for a little while longer!
