Ooh, that'd be cool, especially what with their differing approaches to magic. Robert's all careful and scientific, exploring the possibilities of this new branch of physics and what can be done with it, and doing pretty goddamn cool stuff with it like inventing Skynet and building robot drones that can download someone's brain into its quantum bullshit apocalypse rock fuel, while Lloyd's just going 'fuck yeah robots! Here, what if I made a robot with arms that could turn into ANY GUN?! Amputated stump? Have a robot arm! Don't know how it works, and don't care either! MONEY! CYBORG COPS! ROBOT SUPER SUITS FUCK YEAH'. Robert might have a conniption when he finds out how recklessly Lloyd's inventing new stuff without even testing or anything, while Lloyd' be wondering how to industrialize this elerium stuff with big dollar signs in his eyes. It'd be awesome!

The solution is obvious: character interpretation brainstorm! I didn't really know where I was going with Merlin after all, just said to myself 'Merlin'd be cool to play' and went with it. Make a motivation up for Robert! Wanna make the world better? Contact the police department offering power in exchange for favors. Make elerium-powered golems. Explore your relationship with the AI you made. Just give your parts a quick reread and do something that sounds cool, doesn't matter if it's plot relevant or not.
