Roll To Dodge / Re: Our Salvation: Maybe Just Omit The Human Sacrifice

Jack nods, and hands over the head. "All that sounds pretty good, Two Shores, but I did have one other thing in mind, maybe after you go tell the captain about what happened," he ventures.  "Fancy a spar? No weapons so we don't hurt each other and the surroundings, perhaps? I haven't had a good one in ages. Maybe I'll meet you back here after I go get my juggler's foot and tell Big Dipper about his promotion?"

He looks extra earnest, just in case that'll help him.

Ask for a sparring match? Regardless of whether I'm denied or not, go head back to the kitchen/mess hall place afterwards to go check on my juggler's foot order.

Xan's expression becomes resolute.

"It will work," he declares. "My name is still remembered, and of more significance than these forgotten shadows. My being is greater still."

Lightly flambé the sand before the warbeast uses it to repair itself to imbue it with my power or something. I'm kinda going on instinct right now.

Update! Amusing filler!

"Do I really seem like a man without a plan?"

Alan acts before the obvious answer is stated.

I doubt I can make actual parachutes, but give it a try. If I can't, big bedsheets will do for slowing us down. Then when we're near the ground, summon a big pile of giant marshmallows for ablative purposes.

"I was thinking just the same."

Is the warbeast still on fire, or has it been snuffed out by now? If it's on fire, try to use the fire to repair it enough to walk. If not... ask the Engine Spirit what it'd take to repair the thing.

Enter the mausoleum and walk next to the lizardman

"If you weren't a fellow reptile I would kill you and eat your soul for power"

Animate the pile of corpses into a single being with care to not crush Zal-Hasar in the process.
Zal-Hasar snorts. "Your priorities are lacking."

Animate the corpses that are touching me and get them to raise me out of the pile. If necessary, contest the dragon's magic to avoid being crushed.

((What's a discord server?))

pocket knife
Gak takes this.

bowie knife
He takes this one too.

dagger
The quartermaster's likely starting to catch on by now, but he still snatches this up -

Quote
throwing knife
Stows this somewhere on his person -

Quote
switchblade
And snags this also, assuming he hasn't been stopped by now.

"Thanks pal buddy guy friendo bye bye now!"

Attempt to snag every knife there and scoot off.

((Believe me when I say it's only an excersise in frustration to debate the fox on that particular matter unless you're willing to actually murder it over it.
...
Which is an option, there's a waitlist and everything. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT))

((Oh, and lemme just call it now so I can gloat ahead of time: we're part of Lakhmet's plan to revive himself; either as we use our powers he'll gradually reincarnate in or through one of us, or in this place is hidden a ritual to recreate him, or somesuch. There's little reason he'd have taken the effort to teleport us away from whatever danger he faced.

Unless he was actually altruistic for some reason, in which case he truly was exceptional for managing to reach lichdom with such a set of intact morals.))

((So standard magic conservation policy in action planning then, good. Thanks for the info!))

May I ask OOC if we have any necromantic powers at present?
Of course you have necromantic powers. Go nuts. ^^
((What would those consist of? I've never played classical D&D which this seems to be based off of for now, so I'm unsure what exactly we could be expected to do short of the standard rezzing corpses deal.))
Turn your arm into a skeletal appendage, fashion bones into throwing darts and hurl them at enemies with force projections, command virtually anything of undiluted dead flesh or bone, project your soul into another body, create a amalgamate golem out of linked corpses, and work towards your own ascension to lichdom and immortality. Just to name a few.
((Oooooooh, so a wide variety of stuff. Excellent. I assume any excersise of power requires a roll, probably more difficult the more extravagant the thing we're trying to do?))
