Job? Sure. Profession? That's silly. Dwarves don't get skill in stone hauling, food hauling, refuse hauling, etc. They shouldn't get skill in water hauling.

Also I like the 'anybody can do it' jobs, because that means sometimes nobles can do it too. Like nobles picking crops and pulling levers, maybe they might haul water too.</STRONG>

Yes, I realize that "water hauling" is a peon job and 'anybody can do it'. I meant to suggest we be able to Devote or Ban individuals from performing it. Including it on the labor screen with Stone/Wood/Item/Food hauling would have been a better parallel to draw as an example. The professions popped into mind as those are the first things on the labor page. No legendary water haulers, just the ability to control who does the hauling.

Water Hauling as a profession akin to Wood Cutting or Mining. It strikes me as something that would be handy to be able to devote some poor bastard to.
Welcome Urist... Oh you're immigrant #75... that means you get bucket duty for the rest of your life.

Toady, any possibility to get water hauling or pumping as a separate job designation? This would be handy for people that want near constant waterfalls.

That will be later on in the army arc berent.
What I'm waiting to hear is that we can carve fortifications into the floor/ceiling for murder and drain holes.

Nooo... Toady mentioned pulling the nobles from the local dwarves. Not the mysterious unending pile of purple pixels in the father kingdom.

Toady has said before that we will be able to choose the size of our play area. Its one of the things hes doing for those of us with smaller pc's. Not sure if its this version or not, thats up to the Toad.

Fedor... careful making clothes from the masterpiece cloth. Still makes the dwarves go bonkers when it gets worn out/rots.

You can drown nobles like that as well. Every bad mandate earns you a bucket of water.

Jothki:
Current version doesn't have "flight" it has "unit doesn't touch ground". There are no tiles above what we currently have.

Next release, they have to start thinking about all that stuff. Which is what Toady says hes working on.

Does rewalling create a pristine tile or a 'wall building'?
