Tantrums spirals are quite mad at the moment. Refuse and graveyard jobs seems to make them even badder. (do we need to dump everything nowadays?)

Most annoying thing is that dwarfs just start to die like flies when they start throwing things...

Flooding mass flooding...

There was a bug back in the times I started and for one i did not know that flooding a channel could flood the whole map... I remember it took ages to master the channels back in the 2d times....

Planned easy way to destroy sieges fast. -> Made path with bridges to cavern full of forgotten beasts. Siege was destroyed in seconds BUT now I have poisonous area at my gate and 3 forgotten beasts waiting/Hiding in the area killing anything they can catch...  Every way to contain so called Forgotten beasts problem is "stuck" because for some reason there are bodies all over my bridges...

Well... My champion has already killed about 3 forgotten beasts in this incident so i need to hope he can kill the rest too... Just need to figure a way to flush that poisonous dust/vomit/blood away from my front gate...

Champion seems to be badass enought... Been ambushed about three times when going out and she killed 20 gobbos on those ambushes... Getting a feeling they are only ambushing her for some reason...

There is also something hairy about if you order stockpiles to give/take from workshops... Tried it once... I will not try it twice cause it gave a huge work load with stockpiles as every workshop needed to put on those give/take lists.

Just nickname every one and when next victim falls make slab for the victim... It will show the nickname of the murderer with his true name.

Nickname bug got fixed in .34.5

It still works with Slabs...
Vamp needs to be nicknamed at the time when he/she kills the victim for that name to come on slab... If you name nickname Urist Mcdwarf to 'Vamp' Mcdwarf Slab will show you that killer was 'Vamp' Mcrealname... Nicknaming on other issues is fixed what i've seen.

Found one way to find vampires. Slabs!
Give drained dwarf a slab and it will tell you Killers/vampires real name, real name of course is not the same as the name you'll see when you check dwarf with "V"
BUT
If you have given nickname to possible vampire it will show that nickname on victims slab as killer...

Was quite astoundet when I was reading slab "Murdered by 'Elf Lover' Thot" thinking that I don't have any thot by I just nicked some one Elf Lover

General Discussion / Re: YOUR perfect zombie game

A randomly generated city filled with undead and a very few survivors. Your goal is to survive and establish a civilisation.

Suffice to say, I've already pondered this idea for a long time. The problem is mainly scale. You'd need to have several systems in place as you progress from lone person holed up in some apartment building, to rag-tag group of survivors, to small town, and then to an armored citadel with death-buses. It just wouldn't work.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Well last working one with evolving game play was made -92 the first Dune. Even nearly 20 years later it still has genuine evolving from rpg to strategy what I have not seen after that. Many genuine things in its time. One thing have made me always wondering that great game play and great graphics (for its time) fitted in only a 3 512k disks, just under 2mgb.

Its abandonware nowadays if you were wondering... Won't post the link because I don't know this forums lines about abandonware.

About the choking: When it does it does not mean that your computer had crashed as I have noticed. DF Freezed couple of day ago and computer did not respond and I got out to smoke. When I came back DF was running smoothly... Nowadays I just wait for couple of minutes when it freezes and it usually start to work.

Hello, dear hell! :(
No military, just the starting stuff.
Also, i didn't understand one thing - can i ever survive striking hell with, err, just killing all the demons? Or there will be the endless flow of them?

Same happened to me 10 mins ago. Designated huge area and went for a smoke and when I came back my last miller was running and dodging fireballs in the smoke. First Fortress destroyed this year.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Problems with finished goods stockpile
« on: April 15, 2010, 09:25:48 pm »
If its the same as with blocks then the problem is this:
You permit Stone block only and nothing is never brought to stockpile.
Workaround is that you permit from "metal block" all the types of stone you want or only forbit metals from "metal block" menu. Probaply some mistake from toady that will fix in the near future.
