It's particularly annoying in Adventure Mode when you have a fully armored Legendary dwarf get kicked in the little toe by a boogeyman and immediately pass out from pain.

They actually can do that? :O
More reason to remove/nerf/rework them!

Anyways, what's the worst that can happen with DFHack?
Never really used it, apart from the Stonesense.

3048
Well, you can always (hopefully) turn their skin into nethercap or something...
I dunno, though.

3049
Well, I probably screwed it up when trying to gen it myself, but here it is.

Alright, confirming it to work.
Recognizing the world's name, shape and the like. (it's still generating atm, though)

Feel free to have fun storming The Sable Land, how they call it.
Also, I realized some fun facts about this world:

The island north of the Sable Land is named Lucky Island. (sounds like an island you would go to in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire using an item distributed in a Nintendo event to catch a Mew or something). One of the 1-tile islands is named The Enchanted Island. (which also fits the "Pokemon promotional location" category)

Ironically, the island south of the Sable Land is named the Remarkable Island (ironic due to fact it's empty and small)

In the south-eastern corner of the world there's a volcano in the sea called The Island of Destruction - mildly fitting.

If someone could help me locate the tower named Domainrouted-
Apparently it doesn't appear in this world, for some ungodly reason.

Or it does, but under a different name. F' this.

nope.
As late as a few month back all servers (including official ones) were above 150 ping for everybody.

Back in the days of free AoS, I found it really odd that US servers were far less laggy than any EU server I've played on. (mind you, I live in Poland, but Polish servers were among the laggiest somehow - I guess it's just lack of dedicated servers around here).

3051
There happens to be an isolated terrifying island of necromancer towers and dark fortresses.
It's practically inaccessible as is, but if one made a fortress that acts as a connection between the two...
That'd be awesome.

But AFAIK, the strait/channel is too wide for a single fortress to make it work.
One'd need to overlap multiple fortresses to create a bridge...

Mini-megaproject?

NOTE: This is only a very small fraction of the world, but I couldn't upload the full world map (I'm using the imageshack, so...) - it's a huge world after all.

Can I have your "Island of Evil" save? I could swim to it in this version, very fun...

Hmm...Is there some way to get the world seed for a world that wasn't gen'd with advanced parameters?
I could share the save itself, but still.

SPOILER - it's not better.
It turned from a teamwork-emphasizing tactical wargame to a casual run'n'gun, which there are aplenty already.

And the fact that this one isn't free doesn't help either.

3053
We'd need some way to visualize those battles.
I'm imagining that goblins could've just sneaked up upon sleeping dwarves (should they have made a camp of sorts) and just mass-murdered them.

Either that, or throwing rocks is actually a war-worthy strategy.

3054
Also dwarves suck at war?

Battle for goblin dark fortress:

6000 dwarves VS 28 goblins and 2 trolls...

Goblins take 25 losses.

Dwarves take 5500 losses.

So every goblin killed 220 dwarves before dying...

Also somehow the goblins were victorious...

What???

All I can say is they must have had one LONGGGGG trap corridor.

They're goblins. They always mange to find a way to screw dorfs up.

I am the 42.
Assuming that matters, which it probably doesn't.

Also, we should make a collaborative megaproject of turning the pocket world into one superfortress.
Improbable? More likely to happen than with a huge world, isn't it?

If we could be able to create our own civs from scratch and also build and craft etc. in adventure mode AND skip the time forward somehow, it would be definitely very living.
Not that it isn't lively already, but honestly - not that much happens after worldgen, imo.

DF Suggestions / Re: Remove bogeymen
« on: March 17, 2013, 10:56:27 am »
At least I found some sort of countermeasure - making a "shelter" out of campfires.
It kinda traps you, but at least those pesky bogeymen can't do jack squat to you.

That still  doesn't change the fact that I want bogeymen removed, or at least reworked so that they aren't just an annoying way to quit.

DF Suggestions / Remove bogeymen
« on: March 17, 2013, 07:54:17 am »
I mean, seriously - as much fun DF provides, they are just a very boring and annoying way to end one's adventures.
There are more threatening things that can catch one in the night, like, I dunno, wolves or something...

I can't state enough how annoying the bogeymen are, and this is a very artificial (somewhat) way of forcing traveling at day.

DF Suggestions / Re: Farmer - the dragon slayer
« on: March 17, 2013, 06:14:02 am »
Think Dark Souls - even if something seems extraordinarily hard and impossible, it's still doable.
There are people who beat this game with the starting gear and level, so I guess...

Anyways, that was just probably one hell lucky farmer.
Or one hell unlucky dragon.
