An American politician has become the butt of jokes online following an awkward Twitter snafu.

Dean Browning is a white, former commissioner from Lehigh County in Pennsylvania – but he caused confusion after posting a tweet on Tuesday claiming to be a “black gay guy”.
...
“I’m a black gay guy and I can personally say that Obama did nothing for me, my life only changed a little bit and it was for the worse,” Mr Browning’s account responded.

“Everything is so much better under Trump though.

“I feel respected – which I never do when Democrats are involved.”

This is what happens when you accidentally post your sock puppet content from your main account. Come on, he's a retired company executive and a politician, clearly he has enough money, if you're going to do something this dumb, get another phone for your fake accounts.

White Wolf should really get onto this for a setting, right? QAnon: The Awakening.

LOOOOOOOOL!

Yeah, the QAnon stuff really remind me of Hunter: The Reckoning though, but atleast in that universe the conspiracies the Imbued were posting and discussing about were actually real or could be real with further investigation to uncover such things. QAnon is just some fool taking advantage of idiot channers and their gullibility.

Ah I'm up to QAnonAnonymous episode 74, which is audio from a live QAnon rally. This shit needs to be heard to be believed. One of the main speakers, his actual theories are basically the plot of the show Stargate. He did the Looking Glass / deep state time travel bit first, then talked about awakening everyone's psychic powers, and how we then wouldn't need 'Pharaonic Illuminati' technologies such as Google or the postal service. He didn't say Looking Glass was definitely from aliens, however he then moves into how he's certain that Boeing and Lookheed get their R&D funding from the "off planet" slave trade. So, Hillary and co are the Goa'uld basically.

EDIT: this next speaker, he has a great conspiracy theory line. He's pointing out that Hollywood movies resemble the conspiracy theory because the liberal hollywood pedos put that stuff into their movies deliberately to taunt you about it. Brilliant stuff, since the theory can then rip off Tom Clancy, Terminator, Stargate etc and when people point that out, that's part of the conspiracy too.

That's literally what I did today.  I tried to talk to someone about manga at a bloody bookstore.  It didn't work.

I have done that before myself, but standing in an aisle of a bookstore talking to a random person about books isn't the ideal social situation unless stars align and you have perfectly aligned taste or something. General manga is way to broad a topic and involves too many genres for that to go well. There are so many series that you can say "series X is so cool" and maybe it is cool but the listener is going to be skeptical if they don't already know it because of the sheer glut of series out there and the fact that for any terrible series, at least some people will claim it's really cool, so why should they take Mr Rando's word for that?

Hell, it wouldn't go that well even if they were into Marvel and you were into DC Comics. Basically you have to be enthusing over the same series for a conversation like that to work.

EDIT: just talking about manga is far to broad as an opening in a manga shop. For example say you were down the street, talk to a random person and discover you both have a love of sci-fi novels. At that point you could probably have a conversation about it. However, say you were standing in the aisle at the bookstore for sci-fi novels and discover that the other person browsing has a love of sci-fi novels, you can't really go "wow I love sci-fi novels and I see you do too" because the correct response to that is "no fucking shit, we're both looking at the sci-fi novel shelf". So it's far less organic. In that scenario the opening needs to change to match the social situation. Something like "hey, Philip K Dick is really cool" if they pick up one of his novels or something would be more appropriate. Because it's not an interesting coincidence that you both like sci-fi novels if you're both standing there looking at the fucking novels. But having the same favorite author or something is more interesting.

alright, fine.  how do I meet people.

Because apparently I'm such a fucking freak and a loser I don't understand how to do anything.  At this point I'm tired of even trying anyway because life is nothing but borders and walls blocking me from any progress much less happiness.

If you're really that stumped maybe read on the topic. It's not like there's a shortage of writing about this very topic since it's a thing everyone does. There's a whole classic book "how to win friends and influence people" and I'm pretty sure that the general advice in that would be pretty timeless. Basic stuff is to remember someone's name, ask them about stuff they're interested in, and be a good listener. If you have no information about the other person then of course it's hard to know where to start, hence the number of cliched openings such as complaining about the weather or generic sports cliches such as "how about dem <insert regional sportsball team>" cliches. That's not because someone wants to talk about the team it's because it's a generic opening the refers to something the other person would have a frame of reference for.

Avoid politics and religion, definitely, and ask open questions, hence the kinds of ones such as "so, are you into gaming" or asking them what sort of music they're into. However, I've got caught on the music one occasionally with people with zero music interest apparently get confused on how to answer that, which I really don't get myself, and then it gets awkward as they try and grasp for some definition of what they like. This was a conversation killer the few times I've experienced it, so the takeaway is to not assume someone has opinions / favorite on music or anything just because you assume it's something everyone does, so always start with the closed question of whether they have an interest in music/gaming/movies etc before asking them their favorite movie. There's nothing more awkward than making chit chat with someone about their favorite movie, and they're not into movies but they feel they must come up with something to respond so you're standing there while a stuttering person who knows jack shit about movies tries to come up with a list of ones they like.

I highly recommend the Mole Children bit, it's explained in that episode of the podcast I linked.

Quite a few QAnon followers were convinced that there are secret tunnels under central park, where Hillary  Clinton's secret satanic Democrat cabal (QAnons just say "The Cabal" literally as the evil masterminds) was harvesting children for their dark rituals. When some Covid related medical tents went up in the park, that was really Trump's doing as his commandos had gone down in the tunnels and fought the evil subterranean Democrat satanic forces to save the deformed "mole children", and that medical ship that was moored in New York? That's where Trump took the rescued kiddies.

But none of this has been revealed as they know that the public isn't ready for these revelations, so Trump's buddy is secretly posting on 8chan about it to recruit a vanguard of people able to keep this knowledge, and on the day of the "Great Awakening" Trump will reveal all, and the QAnons will finally get respect from their ubelieving family and friends.

And Hillary etc will all be sent to Guantanamo Bay, face military tribunal, and be executed for their evil child-eating pedo satanic ways. The bit about "y'all going to Gitmo" features heavily for anyone deemed a loyalist of the deep state.

I wish I was making any of this up.

EDIT: the last thing I'm going to mention that the Q thing definitely has a body count. For example, one kid with mental problems was convinced by Q that satanists were everywhere went and just up and executed A Gambino family mob boss based on the idea that the mob was involved in the satanic child trafficking/murder conspiracy. The shooter's family quickly moved out of the fucking state.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/06/nyregion/gambino-shooting-anthony-comello-qanon.html

This is why it's especially dangerous. You have these truly unhinged people believing that actual Ultimate Evil is lurking around every corner. Hopefully not, but it may be just a matter of time before there are further killings or attacks. Two men with Q stickers on their car were caught with loaded guns driving to the vote counting in Philly, after someone tipped off the FBI.

EDIT: last point, back to the tripcode thing. Q is apparently a military intelligence genius yet he can't generate a digital signature without using a website that has that baked in for him. So the whole saving the world thing took a 3 month hiatus in 2018 because the site he was using got taken down. The thing is, just by genning his own digital signatures with easily available free software, Q could have posted literally anywhere with the same authentication that he got from using the built in tripcode system on 8chan, no need for this "only 8chan posts are the real posts" thing. The original creator of 8chan made this point, that the actual Q is a technological illiterate. He also suspects the current 8chan/kun head of being the current guy, since Q is what is basically keeping his business alive at this point, and that guy is also a technological illiterate who had to bring the original 8chan person back because they didn't know how anything works.

This is relevant because there are actual congressional candidates running on a Q platform already.

Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, who endorsed QAnon, wins uncontested seat of Georgia in US election

Ms Greene has claimed in online videos that black and Hispanic men are being held back by "gangs and dealing drugs", alleged an "Islamic invasion" of government offices, and accused Jewish billionaire George Soros of collaborating with Nazis.

She has also embraced QAnon, a far-right US conspiracy theory centred around the debunked belief that Mr Trump is fighting a secret campaign against "deep state" enemies and a child sex trafficking ring of satanic paedophiles and cannibals.

Yeah I thought I really should add this now that I found it, you have actual QAnons in federal government already.

This lady is the Republican's response to AOC. Crazy lady frothing about stopping the satan worshipping cannibal baby-eaters.

So it's gematria for stupid people. Really, really stupid people.

Yeah basically. Note how in that Q Clock example they picked the second that the post happened "14" and then showed that when you put a line through where the number 14 appears on the inner rim of the QClock and draw a line out to the date where Trump's tweet occurs, it passes through the center of the clock. Coincidence? Of course not!

What I think the theory here is supposed to be is that Q knew the date that Trump would post that 53-47 tweet, so he made his 53-47 tweet at exactly 14 seconds past a minute, so that later the people making Q Clocks could draw that line and realize Q had accurately predicted when Trump would make that specific tweet. And they call this a ... qproof. This is probably one of the more compelling qproofs too. Note how Q apparently never fucking predicts anything important that actually happens, so they've settled on him having precognition of fucking stupid tweets!

To give an idea of how dumb Q drops are, say one Q drop mentioned eating cheese and a big nose, the "bakers" would work out that the big nose represents the Jews, hence George Soros, and who are the cheese eaters if not the French, thus Canada, so naturally what Q is saying is that George Soros kidnapped 662 Canadian children, because the drop happened on the 66th day of the year at 2 pm exactly, and killed and ate them in a satanic ritual with Justin Trudeau. It's quite amazing the amount of information the bakers can extract from a couple of words. I'm not kidding about the date/time thing either, sometimes they've used the actual second that something was posted as part of the clues.

https://www.qproofs.com/q-clock.html

To give an idea, they put all the Q drops onto a spiral thing called the Q Clock, and then they do one of those a ley-line / "Bible Code" type manipulations where they take words and numbers out of Trump tweets and show how these line up with things on the Q Clocks to make sort of Oracle of Delphi type mystical predictions, claiming Trump's in on it and the clues in the Trump tweets are deliberate, i.e. that Trumps a master cryptographic puzzle creator doing it on purpose. Here's a finished Q Clock proof:

So, here, the amount of senate seats that Republicans won in 2018 was apparently part of a code. Then then cross referenced a Q Drop that also says 53-47 as if Q made some magically prediction. However, the Q Drop in question was after the election. This is then "validate" by point out that numbers such as 14, 16, and 11 also appear in different places on the giant sheet of numbers they made by putting every date and time that over 3000 posts by Q were made occurred.

It's a person or people. Q communicates through Q Drops.

The "drops" are signed with a digital signature called a tripcode. These codes work in a manner similar to how bitcoin validation works, public and private keys. Anyone with the private key can generate a validation code, and the validation code is quick to validate, but if you don't know the private key it would take years of processing time to generate a validation code by brute force, so it's not 100% secure but it's secure enough that you'd need significant processing time on a supercomputer to make a fake code.

EDIT: I should add that the clues in Q Drops are called "crumbs" and there are people called Q "bakers" who take the crumbs and stick them together into ludicrous additional theories, no matter how tenuous which they then call "bread". So being a baker and sharing or coming up with new theories is how QAnons get involved in the movement. It's been noted that this is a more modern take on conspiracies, since it's interactive, compared to say Alex Jones where you're just consuming his content and he really doesn't want you to do anything or get involved in anything, he just wants you to keep consuming. So, when Q bakers come up with crazy stuff like the alien time machines and secret (literal) underground wars going on beneath the cities between Trump's US marine loyalists and the forces of Hillary Clintons satanic lizard people, Q will then make allusions to those things in future Q drops and those people will feel validated and have their standing in Q circles rise.

"Q" may changed hands over the years, there was some infighting between them and some "Q adjacent" minor Republican pundits. Q basically said if you hear anything from those pundits then it's a lie and it's fake. One theory with some evidence to back it up, is that those minor pundits knew who Q is/was and they fell out, so Q was getting in beforehand to prime his Q followers to defame them as Deep State saboteurs, so if those other pundits ever expose who's really behind Q, they were already pre-discredited with the Q cult people.

So Q posts anonymously, first on 4Chan then on 8Chan when he got booted off 4Chan, then on 8kun when Cloudfare and everyone else basically blacklisted 8Chan, and he or they use the code system to validate themselves. Q actually really fucked up, Q originally stated they would only ever post on 8chan, and that if anyone else posted as Q anywhere else, that was fake Q. However, then 8chan got shut down, so Q was fucked. Q couldn't post anywhere else because that would either make Q a fake or a liar, and show that Q wasn't the genius mastermind he claimed to be. So Q then worked with the 8Chan owners to get 8Kun running as the official successor to 8Chan. Some, including the original creator of 8Chan theorize that the actual Q at the moment is the current head of 8Chan/8Kun Jim Watkins and/or people associated with him. This Jim Watkins guy certainly tried to cash in on the whole thing and was closely involved in getting Q back on the web.

EDIT let me suggest a podcast that's all about Q and how it works.

QAnons believe that Q is a military insider fighting a secret war on behalf of Trump against a cabal of child-eating satanists who took over the government. (100% Democrats btw). Some of them claim there's video of Hillary Clinton and Huma Abadin eating a kid's face off.

Basically the posts are like that navy seal copypasta, pretending to be an insider.

Q comes from "Q clearance" because it sounds cool. However, "Q clearance" isn't military, it's a department of energy security clearance for the design of civilian nuclear reactors. So the guy chose that because it sounds cool, however it's basically nonsensical that a guy who's handle is a Department of Energy security clearance is fighting this fight.

Ugh, I just went to 8kun for the first time after hearing about that site on the QanonAnonymous podcast, and the top post in their pol page was ... kiddie porn pics. Closed the site and never going back. I don't want to read Q Drops that much.

So, Q the christian warrior actively fighting the 'deep state pedos' behind Pizzagate and the Mole Children knowingly promotes and still exclusively posts on a site riddled with kiddie porn. I'll stick to hearing about it in the podcast.

They're both cannibals and satanists, they can be both. They consume the children's andrenochrome to stay young and/or prevent themselves from reverting to their lizard form, depending on who you ask.

EDIT: gotta share this one for people. Many QAnons believe JFK Jr (who died in 1999) lives and/or was murdered (or survived an attempted murder) by Hillary Clinton. He then went deep undercover, and recruited a reluctant Trump to win the whitehouse to enact his revenge from the shadows.

However, not completely in the shadows, he is disguised as a MAGA T-Shirt salesman at Trump rallies named Vincent Fusca. The funny thing is that Fusca is on record short-change people $5 or $10 here or there on his T-Shirts, so the theory is that this Billionaire Bruce Wayne type is undercover seeking revenge while grifting people a few quid here and there on the side for his overpriced Trump merch. Lots of QANons are keen to get their photos taken with a bemused Fusca, and they're on record saying "we know who you really are" etc etc.

EDIT2: Here's a live one. QAnon alien technology conspiracies from a true believer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smOz2nm-_PU

The gist (not necessarily based the video, but it's related) is that the secret military intel unit that Q works for has a time machine reverse-engineered from a crashed UFO and they can see into the future. Hence how Q Drops predict the future. And when Q drops are wrong or nothing happens that's merely because we slipped into a different timestream because of the Q Drops thus that future was avoided, Terminator style. Q himself actually referenced Looking Glass after the conspiracy was spread about, so they're happy to have people pushing this stuff.

Seriously the amount of times Q/QAnon references movies and stuff from movies is insane. "You're watching a movie" is also one of their sayings, to imply that all the normal news and reality is fake and only Q's reality is what's behind the curtain.

Wow you're right, refresh every few seconds and the numbers keep falling.

EDIT: Was watching a Vox video recently dissecting how FOX thrives by making up fake outrage so they can avoid discussing any actual politics or issues and keep their viewers distracted from any actual policy discussion
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzoZf4IAfAc

Then noticed that the top story on that FOX facebook page is "Nancy Pelosi refuses to denounce socialism as she seeks another term as speaker". So, basically, the "story" is that Nancy Pelosi didn't mention anything related to socialism in any way? The story is actually that FOX called her office multiple times with a stupid bait question and she didn't get back to them at all, so she's therefore pro socialist now. This is basically QAnon levels of logic here, Pelosi has consistently failed to call out the deep state satanic cannibal pedo cult, why is she covering up for the deep state satanic cannibal pedo cult? The point being there's nothing remotely socialist about just having public hospitals and decent minimum wage laws. Regulation in a capitalist system doesn't turn it into socialism.

I sure, "love" those people who hate others, over one aspect of their identity that doesn't make them a worse person, in fact probably a better one.

So one of the people I met seemed cool. They were a radical communist, but, that doesn't make someone bad itself. Talked to him/her for a bit, it was pleasant.

Then they found out I was a Buddhist, said something about "religion being the opium of the masses", insulted me repeatedly, and blocked me (this was on Discord). I, hate people like this, like, what the Hell is wrong with your head?

The irony is that this person really has the "holier than thou" thing going on. What they're doing is just the worst excesses of religion by another name. Well you could say they're not actually genociding people, but that's because they're just a single person. Get enough like-minded radical communists together and it's going to turn out toxic like any other large gathering of people who think they're right and everyone else is wrong.

EDIT: the shtick used here is that they used a platitude, ad hominems and refused to debate with you. The irony is that this is exactly how creationists argue with you if you believe in evolution. For example replace "religion being the opium of the masses" with "if we evolved from monkeys then why are there still monkeys? Checkmate atheists" and the rest of the story could be identical. In the opium of the masses thing, by saying that he's saying you're on drugs therefore he doesn't have to prove his statement true, and the basis of that is the statement itself: circular logic in other words, which creationists also love to use. Say for example I say that evolution says we came from monkeys therefore if you believe that, you're a monkey, and why would I believe anything a monkey says? Therefore evolution is false. That's about as valid an argument as his single "opium of the masses" argument for dismissing what you say.

A trainwreck cheered me up greatly this morning, I have to apologize because the link is in Dutch.
To summarize, (I hope this makes sense) A metro derailed, and instead of crashing down and causing a major disaster, it got stuck on a massive sculpture of a whale instead, and nobody was hurt:

https://nos.nl/artikel/2354863-metro-rijdt-door-stopblok-spijkenisse-en-balanceert-hoog-boven-water.html

How the hell did the train even end up there? Did it take a wrong turn 200 meters further back, or was it actually supposed to stop on top of that thing?
