You leave the range, thanking Tommy and returning the hearing protection, as you enter the hallway again. You begin asking around for a library, as your time starts to run out. After asking several staff and soldiers who had no idea, you found a young soldier who had used the room for its internet, and she directed you toward the library. You walk through a complicated series of hallways, following the directions written on a paper target from the range. You eventually come out to the large hallway again, eventually turning into a medium size hallway. The hallway eventually lead to a smaller hallway, like the one in front of the squad's main room. You come up to a simple double door, simple and elegant with small glass windows. You enter the room.

Like everything in the Archangel facility, it was large. Several pillars reached to the roof high above, covered in books in a circular fashion, with a spiral staircase surrounding them. On the sides of the large room were stairs leading to small strip-rooms, where comfortable looking chairs for reading and chairs in front of computers could be seen. This is the first room of the Archangel facility that appears to have stairs. You walk over to a pillar and look it it. It is covered in books, completely and utterly, all standing rigid next to each other. The pillar was a little wider then you, and there were at least ten of them in the room, all rising above to the roof. You look toward a large desk with several librarians in uniform working on computers, noticing that you only have five minutes left, not enough to do anything and barely enough to make it back in time.

You rush back to the main room, having to stop for directions once, and finding that you have showed up a little late. Everyone is waiting around, doing their own thing.

Is there anything you want to do before your next mission?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You find the bullet, a smashed piece of lead, and take it. You all exit, with Colt taking the spot that Scout had ridden in on, and you make it home in good time. You do your nightly rituals and go to bed, after getting your new contact lenses. You wake up several hours later, pretty late at night, and realize you are hungry. Does everyone ever eat dinner here?

After waking up, you go out to the main room. The smell of blueberry muffins is in the air as you look around. The twins were watching a conversation between Goldman and Colt, as Goldman sat in his stuffed chair, with a large book in his lap. He looked exceptionally tired, as if he had not gotten any sleep. Colt, who was sitting across from him on a fold out chair, sitting in it backwards with his arms over the head, speaking with him.

"Perhaps....Demons?" Goldman asks, pointing to something in the book. "Can't be that." Apollo said, "We fought a possessed cross." Artemis finished. "Then....a puppeteer?" Goldman stated. Apollo waved his hand over Colt's head. "Nope. No strings." Colt spoke up, his voice losing a little of the old western accent, now only a flavor in his voice, "I...appreciate what yall are doing...but mister Goldman, you need to get some sleep." "You have not gotten any sleep either...." Goldman stated, after yawning. An alarm goes off, and Goldman puts the book down for a second and comes back with a cup of tea, putting it on a tray next to his chair. He takes a sip and looks a little more awake. "I am trying to assist you, but I don't yet have enough information. The paper work is mostly done, so all we need is information..."

"Oh, Patricia! Didn't see you there!" Artemis says, turning from the couch that she and her brother are sitting on. "We made some muffins, and have some extra. Go ahead and eat all you want, we made plenty."

Is there anything you want to do during cool down?

You need to put a syndrome in the stone, one that is fatal. Right now it is basically just an annoyance, there is no reason it should kill the dwarf.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You return to your room, getting lost once in the large hallway and getting directions from a young man in a service uniform who was carefully moving a box. You offer to assist him, but he explains that he is moving ordnance, a box of HELLFIRE rounds, and he would feel safer moving them himself. You return to the door, the snake still on the cast iron door, as you enter once again. Tommy is waiting, with his own Shrike and the equipment you had asked for, handing you the sash and a normal flash light. "Not as fancy as Oto's, but a lot less heavy." He stated in his rapid-fire way as he lead you to the training ground.

You walk through a series of hallways, smaller then the road like main hallway, yet still rather large, with a few people moving about. You break into another hallway, larger then the prior hallways but smaller then the main hallway. Walking down it a bit more was a large room, about the size of the cafeteria, with the sounds of gunfire coming out between doors that continuously swung open, like all doors in the Archangel main base, bringing equipment and men in and out. Tommy pulls out a large headphone-like communicator and hands it to you, as well as some orange ear plugs, and puts them on himself as well. "Welcome to training room B" he said over the communicator, as he happily skipped between a double door into the range. He talked to a man in a service uniform at the main desk, also wearing a similar communicator, as the man pointed. You take the time to look around the room. It was large, with hundreds of gun ranges on each side, of all sizes. Small ones with humanoid targets, ones hundreds of feet wide with circle targets, some with multiple targets, many with men and women shooting all sorts of guns at the targets. The room was mostly cement, with a high ceiling and all walls not getting shot at coated with some kind of pads that are apparently there to keep the echo down, doing an admirable job, but the sound of the room is still deafening if it were not for your hearing protection.

Tommy motions for you to follow him and he takes you to a two-man range, with several round targets floating around on wires connected to the roof, that could be brought in and replaced by a red button on the side. "Pay attention!" Tommy said with a smile on his face, as he readied his gun. "We have a lot to learn and a little time to learn it in!" Tommy had an interesting device on his eye, a kind of glasses that were cut in half, like a manacle that connects to his communicator.

Tommy's rapid fire speaking came in useful during the training, as he joyfully explained and showed the proper techniques for using the firearm. He taught you how to fire from a tripod standing, sitting, kneeling, and prone, to start with. Next he brought out bipods, teaching you how to fire from the shoulder, hip, and underarm, and the situations that you use them in. He then teaches you how to properly manipulate the trigger, how and when to fire sustained, rapid, cyclical. He teaches you how to manipulate your shoulder to fire while holding it, how to aim properly with the gun, how to fire against fast moving targets by using a movement target like that in a shooting gallery, how to hit a variety of targets, among other, more technical things.

You are not sure you understand all his training or that you retained it all, but he said it should work for most machine guns you will be using. You do feel a little more comfortable with it, firing off several hundred rounds in just the short time you had with Tommy, who fired twice as many as you did. Every time you ran out, Tommy would switch a gear on his communicator and a man would come with another cardboard box full. After a few hours, Tommy had said that he had to stop, saying you have about half an hour left and Tommy still has not prepared his guns for the next mission, saying he will try and teach you more later.

Is there anything else you want to do with your last 30 minutes cool down?

You go over to the cafeteria, using the directions given to you by Tommy. You go out into the hallway, then into a larger hallway, the one you saw before. After a few minutes of walking with the masses of people surrounding you, you arrive at a large room where the large hallway turns. It has dozens of doors, some double doors, some garage-like flip up doors, others still automatic doors, all leading into one place, the cafeteria. Hard to miss. You enter the cafeteria, it is the size of a walmart, at least. Uniformed soldiers sat around eating, a few in line for food, and a forklift was lifting cardboard boxes to the kitchen facility. It looked much like a school cafeteria, scaled up a thousand times. You get in a line witch advances like a factory, plopping food on the plate as the line moves swiftly forward. You grab a plate and after a few minutes in line, a man in a hair net and apron gives you a large scoop of watery eggs, moving along the next man gives you some over cooked hash browns, and a third man giving you a hard biscuit. Finally, at the end of the line, you are given the choice between water, watered down milk, and a powdered fruit drink. You take your food and sit at one of the long tables, eating alone. The food isn't very good, but at least it fills you up. You put your plate in a conveyer belt and leave.

Do you want to check out the requisition office first, or do you want to get to training? Or something else entirely?

"...Colt...Colt Peacemaker, I think..." The cowboy says, as he holsters his new gun. Goldman nodded. "He will make a good addition to the team. Ill just fill out the paper work, the paper work for proper Freak usage, room usage....you guys are just lucky I am good with paperwork and requisition politics." "Fine, but he is your responsibility Patricia" Charlie said, putting his gun down once again.

"I....Just want to know what I am....Who I am" Colt started, looking around at the group. "....I will help the best I can."

Anything you want to do before returning to base?

You examine the drawer, finding the perfect place to hide it just as you had described. After that had been handled, you begin your exercise. Having no equipment, you simply did light stretches and exercise, push ups, sit ups, and the like, on the hard floor. After a little bit of exercising, you exit your room and go to the main room, through the hallway. In the main room you see Helena and Tommy, playing video games and eating out of a paper bag. They wave happily to you as you greet them.

You talk to Tommy as they pause their game, as he eats something that looks like an egg-mac-muffin and drinks out of a paper cup. You tell him about your equipment issue, as well as asking questions about food. Tommy tells you he will get your equipment ready, so when you come back from breakfast he will be able to take you to the range. He gives you directions to food, stating that there are two main ways you can get food: You can go to the requisition officer, asking for your own, and getting some free with your requisition tokens. You will have to make your own food, but it is a little better food. There is also the cafeteria, with low-quality but free food.

Where do you want to go?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Excellent. Grab it for disposal" Oto orders over the communicator. You think for a second, and empty your half-full cigaret pack in your pocket, using the container to hold some salve. You then put it in your pocket next to the other cigaret packages and pick up the pot and pelts, then returning down the dark hallway to join Oto and David again. They had placed the pelts into a pile, wet with blood and salve, as you put your pelts and the pot on the pile. Otonashi pulled a barbeque style lighter from behind his back and set the pelts on fire, quickly lighting into the whole group. The smoke rose up through the cave, exiting high above, as the bright flames lit the room. You watched the fire for about ten minutes, as all the pelts had been mostly destroyed, when Oto gave the order to leave.

You return to the copter, after walking back through the mine. Helena and Tommy were waiting in the copter, looking bored out of their minds, when you arrive. You return to the main base, the ride much the same, though the seat seamed much bigger and more comfortable on this round. You make it back to the base in a few hours, now at night time. Otonashi tells you that you have a few hours of "cool down time" that you can use for whatever you want, and suggest sleeping. You do your nighttime rituals, with supplies like toothbrushes being supplied by Archangel, and go to bed. The bed is a bit small, though not uncomfortable. You wake up a few hours later in the morning, feeling hungry. Before bed, you remembered to keep the salve in a secure location in your drawers, to be put in a different area later.

Anything you want to do during cool down?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You did get decent rolls, though I can't exactly kill anyone off on the first mission unless you did something incredibly stupid. Combat is a house-rule system loosely based on GURPS, you tell me the action you want to do and I roll a (virtual) 6 sided die. I then take your skill into account and other factors, like the lack of light, and decide the damage the action will do based on the dice roll. 1 being a critical success, 6 being a critical failure, you consistently rolled medium numbers.

------------------------------------

You enter the room and look around. It was a large cave, with bones lying around on the floor. There was a crack in the top of the room, letting in a sliver of sunlight, allowing you to see a little, though it is still dark in the room. You found what was apparently their bed, a patted-down dirt floor with some leaves in a large circle, apparently for the Alpha. You keep looking, finding a smaller cave that is apparently their storage. The stench of rotting meat mixes with the smell of your glowing cigaret, as you enter a dark room. Deer and cattle lie on the floor, as you look around for anything that might be interesting.

Then, in the corner of the room past a sheep corpse, you see a small pot next to a wooden stick with some wolf pelts on it. You go over to investigate in the limited light, finding the pot filled with the salve. It is large, but you could probably take the whole thing, even if you want to keep it hidden.

Do you take the salve?

You throw your grenade directly at the cement, as the cement absorbs it like a puddle. The grenade then explodes, sending fragments of cement flying everywhere, leaving only a splatter were the beast once was.

You look around the destroyed room to see objects lying everywhere in pieces, the ashes from the Hellfire round are still visible on the ground with some things they set on fire, and bullet casings littered the ground. The squad walked in, looking around themselves in combat positions at first, later relaxing into a less combat position.

"I don't know who the Nazi was..." Goldman started, "But I wish I could have shot him. The cops should get him, I don't think he can escape easily....Ah, were is my composer. We destroyed a lot of artifacts today." "In this museum? I would be surprised if there was two true artifacts." Charlie said, "Most the stuff we saw was reconstructions. Or heavily modified, the real stuff is probably in the bigger museum elsewhere."

Artemis and Apollo, looking at you while pointing their guns down, spoke as well. "Who is the cowboy?" Apollo asked, pointing while asking. "Is he a Freak?" "I...I don't know..." Replied the cowboy, nervously. "I ...ain't got a clue who I am. I ain't got a clue what I am doing here." You give a brief explanation of how you met the cowboy and how he helped you.

"Well what do we do with him then?" Apollo asked. "We could probably just let him leave, not much he could do. He is on our side anyway" "To dangerous." Charlie said, half readying his weapon. "We need to keep him watched. I say we either take him with us or kill him, just to be safe."

What do you suggest you do with the cowboy?

And, is there anything you want to do before you leave?

You ready your glock and prepare for the items. Suddenly, items burst through, a chair leg busted through the cement and crashed next to you like a spear. You shoot it when it hits the ground, causing it to splinter as it breaks in half. A second item came flying through, a pot. It was much slower and you managed to hit it as it entered the cement, causing it to shatter into clay shards.

A large anvil flies through the cement like a bullet, flinging cement everywhere as it smashes into the wall, flying past your head. The opening is much larger then typical, and you take the opportunity to jump through it, once out sending a bullet into the stuck anvil, chipping it. The smoke had died down as had the fire, and the other squad members had removed their masks and were now firing normal, aimed shots into the room, helping you to finish off the remaining items.

All that seems to remain is the cement beast, which now starts moving toward you like a snake, zinging and zagging along the lines, heading straight toward you. What do you do now?

I couldn't remember how much your glocks had per magazine, so I hope I guessed right at 15.

"No." Otonashi says, as he pulls something from behind his back. "Just get ready. Ill put this pill in his mouth and he will revert back, for less then a second. David, grab the cloak and pull it off. Alec, restrain him. Even if we remove the cloak, the salve may be able to give him enough strength to tear an arm off, be prepared for the worst."

Otonashi takes the pill, a purple capsule, and puts it into the half-dazed alpha's mouth. He shudders for a second, vibrating the rocks over him, as David rushes to pull at his hair. In under a second, David raises the cloak, larger then the rest, leaving a man in its place. Strangely, it was a frail old man, with hardly any muscle on his bones and gray hair. You pick him up as ordered, holding him in a kind of nelson hold, as Otonashi begins his interrogation.

Otonashi pulls out his gun and cocks it, probably for intimidation effect, as he puts it to the man's chin. The man growled, as if he was still a wolf, as he spewed out insane comments. "He told me you would come! The world is ending, can't you see that! I was just trying to let my family survive!" He said, with a surprisingly deep and growling voice. Otonashi ignores him.

"I only need to know one thing. This form of transformation is typically a wizard skill. Who had given you the transformation ability" Otonashi said, putting the gun closer. "NEVER!" The old man replied. In a sudden burst of strength, coupled with his skin being coated in some kind of salve, he slipped out of your grasp and began running on all fours, heading toward the corpse and the cloak. Otonashi went to fire, but his gun was unloaded. Three bursts of fire came from David's gun and the man falls to the ground, never to move again. "Damn it!" said David, as he slams the cloak he was holding to the ground.

"It seems our interrogation proved futile. All we must do now is clean up. Gather all the cloaks for burning, use them like a towel to wipe off all the salve, the townspeople will take care of the bodies." Otonashi said, as he reloads his gun.

You start the gruesome job of cleaning the Freaks. You mostly watch, David and Otonashi seem skilled at this and don't need your assistance much. But for a second, a strange thought goes into your head. You could probably find their salve, and a cloak, to use them for yourself. You apparently keep in control of yourself during the transformation, after all, and if you get even more strength, there is no telling what you could do! But of course there might be negative side effects....

Other then that, is there anything you want to do before you leave?
---------------------------------

And there is your first adventure. Made it a little more obvious that you have an overarching plot, rewrote some parts to avoid PSTD on your character on his first mission (Originally, I had envisioned the former-alpha ripping his own arm off to get away from you, justifying shooting him a bit more, but decided that was a bit dark), overall I think it went well.

You pull out your hatchet and jump at the Nazi, who is currently lying on the ground from the last round of fire. The moving cement goes to shield him, but the cowboy fires at the Nazi, causing it to shield him and giving you an opening. You easily get on top of the Nazi, swinging down and directly hitting him in the neck. A jolt goes up your arm as you hit him, it was like you had hit a metal bar. Unfettered, you swing once again, twice again, putting all your strength into hits as sparks fly from the Nazi. Every hit bends his head a little more to the side, as the smile is wiped from the Nazi's face, ending with his head at shoulder level.

Somehow, the Nazi punches you, and it feels as if you had been pistol-whipped. Your suit takes a lot of the impact, but it is enough to get you distracted, allowing the Nazi to escape. He swiftly gets up, running like a drunk man, as he pops through an emergency door in the back, causing an alarm to sound, before anyone can do anything about it.

The cement quickly surrounds you in a shell, as you see several items come close to you. It looks like the objects are planning to trap you then simply impale you when you can not move. What do you do now?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You move in front of the door, attempting to block the entrance, as you spray bullets down the barley lit hallway. David simply gave a half shrug and turned around, firing a few bullets at the Alpha and scratching him a bit. You try to keep your gun steady as fifteen more bullets fly out, your belt feeding your gun as flashes fill the tunnel once more, a few more bullets making their targets, many more missing, as you slow down the advancing werewolves. Behind you, the alpha turns to face David, as Otanashi pulls out a round grenade from behind his back, letting it lie in his hand for a few moments before he throws it to the top of the cave high above you, exploding once it reached the top with a defining noise. The explosion knocks off a large spike, causing it to fall and hit the alpha, crumbling as it does so and pinning him to the floor.

David and Otonashi now look toward your direction, now illuminating the hallway. You can see the blood-stained werewolves continue to jog down the hallway, getting continuously closer. Now that the light was directly on the werewolves, and they are closer, the whole squad opens fire, including yourself, knocking down the werewolves and turning them into pelt-covered corpses as the bullets cut them down.

What do you do now?

17847
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You look down the tunnel, using your limited light to see that they are somewhat far down. You take position in front of the cave, spewing bullets out of the gun as fast as you can. Twenty bullets fly out of your gun, but do to your lack of training and light, as well as the growing kick of the gun causing you to practically spray bullets down the hallway the best you can, the flash giving you a little bit of light, allowing you to see a few hits as you slow their run. David takes up position where he was to start with, firing his gun from the side. He also seems to be limited by the light, but scores several more hits then you do. It seems your greatest effect was slowing the werewolves down greatly. They are almost out of the tunnel now, continuing to rush toward you.

Behind you, Otonashi is fighting the large werewolf, dodging behind the spikes as the werewolf smashes into them as if they were nothing, firing his pistol at the werewolf as he dances with it. He doesn't seem to have the underhand, but he doesn't look anything like he is about to win. The light continues to dance as he moves around, his every turn changing the layout of the room.

What do you do now?

The cowboy looks around confused as he does the same, slamming against the ground. You dive first, landing hard on the cement floor, though nothing is damaged. The guns of your squad mates all light up, sweeping the room and knocking the rest of the shelves over. All kinds of objects were torn apart and thrown to the ground as an impressive amount of gunfire filled the room, as if someone had swept a sword over the room. The Nazi sees what is going on, and duck and covers himself, after the firing starts. Within no time, another quarter of the room is taken out. The twins and Goldman duck out of the room to reload once, though Charlie lets out a continues burst of fire from his large gun, getting on his knees, apparently for stability.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You hold down the trigger as you attempt to aim, bullets firing one after another as you fire at the Alpha wolf. The ammo belt enters your gun, spewing out capsules on both sides, as you fire ten bullets, some hitting the large creature and spewing blood, most smashing against the wall as your light source gets blocked by the bulking mass of the werewolf. The werewolf winces as your bullets hit, but you don't seem to hit anything important and it continues its charge. Otonashi fires his own gun at it, but you can not see him well, the werewolf is in the way. David's gun can also be heard, but he appears to be firing down the tunnel."EYES" Otonashi says quickly, over the communicator and out loud, as you rush to cover your eyes. The flash once comes again, as the werewolf howls in pain. Down the tunnel, you can now hear the other werewolves, since the gunfire has died down.

You open your eyes again, and Otonashi had dodged to the side, taking position behind the spike, firing his pistol at the alpha, focusing the light there as well, as the creature continued to attack. Down the hallway, the wolves continued unabated.

Name: Patricia Garfien

HP: 11
Stats:
Int: 9
Str: 11
Agi: 10
Skills: General Medic(3), Small Arms (3), Shotgun (2), Sub-machine gun (2)
Advantages: She has steady hands, and is very calm in high stress situations. This can be a lifesaver in the field.
Disadvantages: Territorial about her work, needs glasses/contacts(farsighted), and a functional alcoholic.
Perks: Excellent bedside manner.
Quirks: Racist. Yep. Against EVERYONE. Not to the point where she dislikes them, just the point where she believes just about every stereotype there is. Curiously enough, not religious, or homophobic, or sexist. I can change this if it might cause problems.
Bio: Patricia grew up in southern Texaz, raised by two rich white parents who fit every stereotype of rich white people there was, or almost. They did love their daughter, but they were also assholes to most people below their station. When she became a surgeon in college, they were delighted to see their little girl take up such a proud profession. When the chupacabras started striking, she managed to save her brother's life, barely, but had to run, and he was left behind. She rode a horse for hours, eventually letting the poor thing rest, where she was taken in by some kind colored people. Long story short, she ended up joining the Archangel foundation, to help keep the fighting men alive. That said, being a Texan, she's not bad with a pistol either...

You dodge around, definitely not trying to send things flying at the Nazi, as you attempt to get closer. The Nazi fires at you, causing you to duck, as several of the knives charging at you continue their path, whacking themselves in the cement that expelled them. The Nazi aimed his finger gun again, firing a bullet at the distracted cowboy this time, with a mockery of a smile on his face. The cowboy hits the ground, dodging the sword above him, and causing the bullet to hit said sword, sending it falling down. Several knives still follow you, as you try to dodge around them while getting closer. He points his gun at you and you duck, sending a knife behind you spiraling toward him, as the cowboy takes his freedom to shoot his own gun, sending a bullet into the concrete protecting the Nazi. The knife flies toward the Nazi without stopping, cutting into his cheek. Strangely, the wound sparks, leaving a wound like chipped metal. While you had avoided the tools, several other items had begun crossing over the isles and fire in order to assault you, everything from a fake mummy to an old shoe, had started walking at you, slowly and carefully, apparently attempting to avoid the friendly fire mistake.

Over the communicator, a somewhat mutated "Patricia, hit the ground!" comes from Apollo, as they burst the door open. Charlie and Goldman had joined them, and all of them where wearing gas-masks. The twins where holding their gun's sideways close to their face, and Goldman had taken out his pistol, his rifle on his back.

Is there any way to make a creature that eats coke? SPECIFIC_FOOD doesn't seem to support that kind of thing.

Not without some insane walkaround, SPEC FOOD only supports things that come from plants and creatures, to my knowledge.

Otonashi shakes his head again. "Wolfs bane won't work, even if it did turn them back they would still have the salve and pelt on, meaning transforming back would be instant. We may have to just attack them if we can not find a better way." "We could try setting them on fire..." David said, looking over his rifle. It was a rifle with a short barrel, with a skeleton stock. "then if they remove their pelts do to the fire, we could get them then. "

"Lighting things on fire is generally a bad idea to keep them alive." Otonashi said, taking his gun out of its holster once again. "We will just have to jump them and hope for the best. If we eliminate the two minor wolves, we will have to interrogate the Alpha. If my assumptions are correct, he would be the first to get the salve and the pelt, which should make him the most powerful. It also gives us the necessary information. Move out."

Your team resumes the same formation walking further down the cave. Soon, you come to a smaller hole, at which Oto orders you to stop again. He then hand motions for you and David to get on either side of the cave, preparing to ambush. Otonashi stands in front of the cave, one hand behind his back and the other on his gun, as he stomps on the floor. No reaction. He throws down an empty bullet shell, making the same noise as before, and waits. Still nothing happened. He looks down the entrance carefully, and looks like he is about to say something, when suddenly, completely silently, a wolf charges out of the entrance. It is larger then the others, by at least half, with muscles that bulged as it ran breakneck speeds through the cave entrance, running toward Oto.
