Yeah, let's just shoot the damn thing.

Could we start it and have the pilot space-jump back?
And crash the ship for sure?  And wouldn't the drone notice the pilot "space-jumping?"  I'm pretty sure it's either flee or fight and then flee at this point.  There are other scrapyards out there, possibly less protected than this.  Hell, we might be able to sell one of the ships and get fuel and repairs at an actual port.
And I'm more worried about the drone reporting a stolen ship and possibly injuring a crew member, though Salvation doesn't have much in the way of armor.

What, crashing into asteroids?
No, getting shot by the drone.

Just re-read your first post...You don't need to have the corpse in your hand, it can just lie on the ground, maybe that's it...
This, from my experience.
Also, I think if you cut it up too much, it'll be useless.  I cut off almost all the limbs from a crow once, and couldn't butcher it.  I smashed the other one with the haft a bunch of times, and could butcher that one.

I don't know about luring it away, that seems kind of dangerous.  Also sounds like work for the medic.

Come on already, guys, stop trying to kill us before we even got out of the starting area!
Right, let's just is tight and wait for the drone to inspect the ship.
It knows we're here, something turned on the ship.  It likely sent a report to whoever handles it too.  I'm all for fight or flight.  But if we do shoot it, we gotta get outta Dodge.

What about putting some fuel in the ship and moving elsewhere?   Moving out of the scrapyard would hopefully prevent this kind of thing from happening, but of course if we move someone is probably going to see that.  But we shouldn't attack the drone.  If we blow it up, someone is going to come looking for it, and that's something I think we'd all rather avoid.

why fly shuttle to town if we can fly our cruiser? I say salvage the shuttle after the run, if we need it we may repair it later

As for what we look for

1) comfort and life support, crew should be happy and healthy
2) medical equipment
3) engines\engine parts
4) electronics
5) armor plates
In theory, a smaller ship would be more efficient, requiring less fuel.  Also, we don't want to make it obvious we need parts for a beat up ship.  Actually, are we allowed to have this thing?  Wouldn't finding it in the scrapyard make it stolen, if we aren't allowed to be scavenging in it?

Yeah, but I think it should go:

1)Engine\parts\fuel
2)Armor
3)Medical Supplies
5)Electronics
6)Comfort
We want to make sure our ship is able to move, then that it's spaceworthy, then that we won't die horribly from injuries, then work on upgrading the electrical components (it can fly, it just requires manual input, if I'm understanding right).  After that we can work on comfort.  I don't know if you meant those to be in a specific order, but I feel like clarification can't hurt.

Not really. Does that mean he can only do magic by performing long rituals, or is magically enhances his studying ability, or something else?
Well, alchemy is more transmutation than the conventional magic missile or corpse raising or anything.  It was pretty much accepted as science before chemistry, even though you can't really make lead into gold.  Pretty much, he's more of a scientist than a magician, but if there are really strong magics, he can probably do a few minor ones he's learned from books.  But he's not really a powerful magician or anything.  Much more reading than rituals.  Does that make it clearer, I know what I have in mind, so I may have skipped some important detail or other.

Yeah, again, I tried to elaborate on the magic side several times, but for whatever reason, my iPod decided to close the window whenever I finished writing.  I'm probably going to be using my computer all the time, but I wanted to put my name in and see what was going on.  Anyways, Johann's an alchemist and an adviser.  More someone who would bury himself in a book to find a solution rather than a mage who would throw fireballs at a problem, if that makes sense.  The Great Library sounds like the best place for perfecting alchemy, so if Aram of Firelight needs an adviser, Johann will gladly fill the position.

You can take the field-medic side of things and I can take the advanced-medicine side of things. We can tease each other about the things the other can't do. It could be interesting.
Sounds like a plan, prof.

Is it possible I could be an advisor to a lord?  It's probably explained in the rules, but I don't see anything about advisors, would that be the same as being the leader of an organization?  Because all this seems interesting but I don't really want to be a lord of a fief.
Yeah, that's perfectly fine. I guess it wasn't explained very well in the rules, but that was the basic idea behind claiming titles without a fief or organization.
Cool.  I'll be brief, my window has closed unexpectedly three times now, after I've written my response.
Name: Johann Geld
Profession: Advisor, but has studied alchemy and magic his whole life
Affiliation: None.  I'm indecisive, whichever fief has the greatest library, college, or magical potential is what I'd prefer, but I'm good with any fiefdom, as long as the people aren't too barbaric.

Yeah, that's why I asked.  I wanted to be a medic because I'm kind of a pacifist (I'll only resort to violence if I have to, and never to small animals) and I meant more of a field medic than a real ships doctor.  So yeah, basically your assistant.  I don't know if it's common for ships to have multiple "doctors" but it seems like a good idea.  Otherwise, I'll take a cabin-boy who dreams of seeing the universe or something.

Post-Scriptum: When I mentioned being non-violent, I meant my personal temperament.  In games I find it hard to be a character who is overly harsh.  Of course, if we find any space-cats I will vote for not killing them.

Wow, this sounds really cool.  Could I take one of the crew members?  I would ask to be a medic, If that isn't already taken (a field medic, not a proper doctor).  I'd like my crew member's name to be Charlie Phelps, and I think it would be best to prioritize inspecting/repairing the hull and finding fuel just to be on the safe side.
(Did I do that right?  I don't do these community games often.)
