Yeah, it kind of is a screwed up system, and Jack, I see what you mean, and yeah, a lot of people don't vote because they don't think it's important or it's been decided. I just wasn't sure what Sheb had meant.

I like sleepers giving more benefits, like cheaper classes. Also, the secret cache idea sounds pretty nifty.

« on: September 06, 2012, 10:25:42 pm »In 2004 and 2008, voter turnout reach historical records. Over 60% of eligible Americans voted. Turnout is usually much lower for other elections.Is that supporting Wrex's statement? Except for 1924, I'm not seeing a majority of Americans not voting.

Most people in the U.S no longer vote.
I know many don't like either of the current candidates, but honestly, I find it hard to believe that. Do you have any sources you can provide? I would really like to know more.

Broken? Nothing in Dwarf Fortress is truly broken. In real life, rivers are damn hard to cross if you can't swim.
But yeah, fast traveling/waiting/sleeping should teleport them, or you could let them flail, possibly drown, and hopefully level up their skill. They're pretty difficult to get around, so I prefer to just not do some of those quests if the river is too large.

« on: September 04, 2012, 08:49:26 pm »Actually, there may be a way to get a fully husked fortress (burrowing everyone outside in a husk cloud) but I think you'd lose.But you could keep one or two sane, isolated dwarves to keep the fortress up and running, and have the rest be husks. Then you'd win.

Alt-Y "enemies" aren't really enemies, they're neutrals and allies. The game assumes you don't want to piss them off and doesn't let you hit them with any weapon. This game really needs a way to "paint" who your enemies are.

i hope this derail will lead to new ideas and stuff for the LCS .
