There aren't established levels of escalation and they don't try to de-escalate.

There are. It starts with asking for compliance, then usually goes to trying to physically restrain. If they can't restrain the suspect (reasons include fleeing and refusing to exit a vehicle,) then it goes to less lethal weapons (tasers, pepper spray, rubber bullets.) Firearms are for when somebody's life is at risk. Escalation can happen very quickly, however.

The officer shouted repeatedly to Daunte that he would be tased, which was an attempt to de-escalate back to compliance or restraint.
Pray tell me why exactly we have to restrain fleeing suspects? And why exactly would a 26 year veteran draw a gun when the taser is on the other hip?

Do the Democrats want to lose control of Congress? Because that's how you lose control of Congress.

Tucker is getting worse by the day, the other day he was equating vote dillution with white replacement

I'm pretty sure he mentioned how it effected black people, too. Also the lack of Hispanic support for illegal immigration. Tucker has previously mentioned how Trump got ~28% of the Latino vote. How 2nd and 3rd gen immigrants are less reliably Democrat, so they need a constant stream with a pathway to citizenship. There's more there than just "white replacement".

Tucker's rhetoric is very clearly white supremacist, the KKK think so, and his disclaimers and attempts to cloak it don't change that.

Hey, anewaname, I get the feeling you may want to take a minute to disengage from the argument and restate where you stand on things, because you're sending aggressively mixed signals and it's difficult to discern tone through text. Don't want to misconstrue your words.

So the excuse is...they accidentally drew their pistol, disengaged the safety, and fired it? And that somehow isn't an admission of gross incompetence leading to at best a criminal charge of manslaughter?
As far as I am aware, most US police use Glock brand pistols, which don't have a safety in the traditional sense. You can just draw and shoot, one reason they're popular among cops.

Well, time to reboot the thread.

Minneapolis police largely excluded local press from their press conference regarding the recent police killing of Duante Wright  - national and international outlets were allowed.

I mean, they could just tell the contractors to go home with their pay, I'msure they wouldn't complain. :P

I support the current deployment.

As for file sharing, I recommend Google Drive, Dropbox, or Pastebin. Be aware that many file sharing services display your real name, so you will want to make sure it's not associated with their account.

French press doesn't need much, you just have to be careful not to break it. For a french press, you could spend more money for a burr grinder (~$50) for more even grounds, but a typical bladed spice grinder will be fine in my opinion. French press uses a coarser grind than espresso and drip coffee because it uses a wire mesh filter as opposed to filter paper.

I will note that we have trouble with providing address of residency for homeless people here - barely any systems in place for them at all, at least compared to countries that fucking care about humanity.

People don't like Charter Schools being super prevalent because implementation is rife with embezzlement, for profit schools, and abuse (of students and teachers alike). Instead of spending money on vouchers, why not just improve the schools?
