Flavius stands up after the speech of the emperor, like aways, a smile on the face.

"My emperor, maybe we are superior by the blood than ourt neighbors, but acting like a good Hadrian is always better like acting than a bad one. We write history today and we are the ancestors of the future!
Should look our grandchildren and grandgrandchildern back to this day in shame? Where the lion hide itself in the gazelles skin, just so he have it easier?
non est! I say! non est!
These days are shall shine in valor and glory for Hadriankind and now blemish should diminish the brilliant rule of your kind emperor!
It's is only for the sake of the Augustus and the history.

Marcus Flavius is more active than certain members of the Populars, voting for the formal declaration of war.

[2+2] Flavius has convinced the Optimates of voting with him.

Delvos is quite baffled by Trents offer. What to do? Risk that he don't get his pay or earning the trust of a noble and a pay in the future?

"...Take me to the Realms of the Nova..."

No, he can't just risk foolishy the lives from his merry men, just by a promise from a man he barely knows. Sad thing, that a thing like creditworthiness does not exist... Yet.

"...I can't work without any pay. You paid with a transport. But now, you can't offer me more. I'm sorry, but I must think about the future of my company. It's wiser to seek a contract with the House Nova."

Flavius stood up once again, with the same smile as ever on his face.

"I agree with my dear friend Crassius here. We need to declare war properly, sacrifice to the gods and crush them.
It is not our call to make use of petty ruses and laughable "suprise attacks". What are we? Barbarians? Dancing around stones, not covering our bodies, bleating like sheeps? Of course not! We are Hadrians!"

He smiled broadly at Crassius.

"I always thought you are more honourable than your origins, fellow senator! Now you just need to learn what the plebs deserves and how we should guide it."

Marcus sat back on his seat and leaned to Lucullus, so the wise man could hear the words

"I think the populares lost some of their popularity now... Hehe, this is perfect."

Flavius shaked his forefinger and responded in a calm voice

"Fellow senator, they insulted us right away in the face. What do you with a kid, which spits you in the face? Giving him sweets? Of course not, you punish it for his insolence.

The Whitepeak Alliance formed their pact, because they fear us like barbarians. Are we that? Of course not. Do they think they can scare us with their petty try to make them look intimidating? No, of course not. They think we are uncultured barbarians, laughing at our glrious emperor. Will they agree to a peaceful annextion? No, they won't.

Like the obstinate and defiant child, they will laugh at us and spit us in the face again.

It's time for their punishment.

A young man standed up, holding his left hand in the air, his ring finger and little finger folded on his palm.

"Pax, pax, my dear friends. Our dear homo novus is not here without reason. He certainly proved himself to be suitable to be here, he only needs our guiding hand to show him what it means to be senator."

He smiled in a friendly manner and looked straigth  at Crassius now.

"Indeed, Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori, but the sweet taste of victory is diffused, when the plebs get the spoils. They will only be fooled by their greed and demand more unnecessary wars, soothing their simple minds. Panem et circenses, that's what the simple minds want. if they get too much, they will go crazy and will not act in true hadrian ways. We need to guide them and I say, let's abolish that prosposal. It's certainly well-intentioned, but it will make things worse."

Bokecca the god of righteousness and persistence commands the primordial soup and black smokers to drive the comet invaders from the world! Maybe introducing some stimuli to promote mobility would be a good start...

What? My poor asteroid RNA! Leave them alone!
