Hope planetside can hang on. SOE just closed The Matrix Online due to it's sagging numbers, surely other games with low membership can't be far behind..

How do you get the combat simulator to work?  Can't seem to connect mine.

Need an IP of a working server. I personally tried it out by running the included server program on my own system and connecting to localhost

I'm sure they'll worry more about making it run good on hardware when they get anywhere near completion. At this point it's hard to call the game even an alpha :P

The PSP Persona has a more or less automatic option for combat where it will automatically order all your units to attack with certain skills.

PixelJunk Monsters is quite good. But only available on PS3

on the picture with the microline. Would it be possible (for you) to blend the textures of the stones somehow so that there is a smoth transition between the stones? Same would go for for not constructed Floor-materials i guess.
And the grass. Seconding this request, if it's possible at all

Omikron: the Nomad Soul comes to mind.
not exactly possession, but the core of the game/story features a main character who can inhabit other bodies.

Also, its part designed by David Bowie. Weird!

I'm personally a user of Bayimg.com for quick photo uploads. Hosted by the Pirate Bay guys.

How's this looking for underground stuff and actual fortresses? I haven't played DF and a bit so I don't have any forts ready to test out. Screens! Plx~!

On the cinematic:
Why is GDI holding a meeting in a shadowy room in a dilapidated building right in the middle of a red zone?
Why is the planet deteriorating? They went from 0/50/50 Blue/Yellow/Red in TS to 30/50/20 in TW.
Why does Kane have an Orca? Last time i checked they were GDI material.
Why do the nod(?) soldiers have p90's and why do they keep their fingers on the trigger at all times? Besides being 70 years old, that thing is about as ergonomic as a porcupine when holding it like that for any amount of time.
Why is GDI negotiating with Kane? This one makes no sense whatsoever.
And finally, why did the Tacitus shrink from being about a meter in diameter to fitting inside somebody's palm?
On the press release: No interest in the game whatsoever.

Most of the stuff is explained in assorted places I read:
Basically after C&C3 the entire world has been approaching the point where ALL areas are covered in tiberium, to the point where they GDI probably don't really have anywhere else left for their shadowy meeting.
Dunno about the Orca - maybe it's stolen? It's always been a factor in C&C that vehicles and the facilities to make vehicles can be taken over..
The P90s might just be an oversight, although I'd argue that to this date there has been no gun more perfect and that I'd rather have at my side than the M1 Carbine, and that must be approaching 70 years old..
The GDI is /not/ negotiating with Kane, it seems to me that he just sort of showed up there, and being that the world is on the brink of totally driving the human race extinct, they are willing to hear him out.
The Tacitus I have no idea about.

I've tinkered with OpenSim (and the OS Grid) a bit but my biggest deterrence from going further was the lack of built-in physics. Even the most basic stuff, like clipping were disabled in the default build. I didn't bother figuring out how to get it working but it was cool for a while figuring out heightmaps and such.

Edit: I feel a teensy bit silly now, it appears that the OpenDynamicsEngine is a possible variable in the main INI I must have missed, that adds a better physics engine. It also has some more advanced stuff like mechanical joints and axels and so on.

Not really interested in it, the Wii never hooked me with it's gimmick and even as a pretty dedicated Sony fan I have a hard time getting excited about their motion system. It just leads to crappier casual games for the most part.

There are a few games I can think of although your self-imposed 1 GB or less client size makes it trickier. If you don't mind a bit bigger game, Runes of Magic is a very solid game with an interesting spin on multi-classing and all the bells and whistles of regular retail MMOs and then some.

Best bit of all, the maps are just text files so anyone can theoretically throw together something in moments. Very awesome looking
