PCSX2 works great, once you figure out it's ins and outs, what plugins and settings to use, etc.

Really not worth using in anything BUT Windows Vista sadly, as DirectX 10 gives it it's best speed :/ Also, completely unplayable on a single core processor.

http://www.thehunter.com/ Coming soon, though it won't have crafting and the like from launch, they plan to allow you to use the animals you kill.

And it looks damn gorgeous.

Nothing is quite like Planetside.  You could try Tabula Rasa.  That seemed sort of like Planetside though I never played it.

TR was pretty good. Shame it didn't catch on, it's closing for good in February, after a short month of being free for everyone to play from January

Is anyone else looking forward to Saints Row 2? It's kinda like San Andreas 2. GTA as it's supposed to be, pure mindless fun and carnage.

Have it on PS3 and I agree, it's awesome. Has all the things San Andreas and the like had that were missing in GTA4 (except for Jet Packs). There's no need to do missions to unlock parts of the city, and you have all your skills from the start.

Great game, if you have a dedicated group of friends with regular time set aside to play. I meet up with my guildies on sundays and we work through the story missions. Solo it's pretty meh, but the solo instances really conjure up the old school D&D days when played with others.

The GECK mod tools are now released, you can grab them off the usual gang of sites like Fileplanet

While it may not be worthwhile to you Torak, I personally could not be offered a high enough price not to buy a version of Fallout that runs well all the time and supports Interplay in their recovery so they can make more cool stuff in the future. None of it has DRM and all of it comes with extras too, such as the Fallout bible included with the games in that series.

I bought a PS3 and haven't regretted it a moment. I have 20+ games for it now, including some truly awesome stuff - Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, and more.

First impression now that it's installed: The english text and voice acting is hilariously bad - the area management screen says 'Harrison' instead of Garrison for instance

Hm, this looks like Jagged Alliance.  8)

Looking into the history of this game's development, it actually was Jagged Alliance 3 in early development but they lost the IP rights.

Eeeh... the DS emulators are horrible. Laggy, buggy, and they have some graphical issues occasionally. Might want to give them a few years. Also, playing Warioware: Touched with a mouse is a bit.... strange.

Anyway, I agree. I prefer the Warioware on the GBA than the one on the DS. It was far more fun spinning the entire gameboy around.

Still try out Warioware.
The latest version of No$GBA adds a OpenGL render engine, which improves speed and frame rate a LOT. I've been playing Castlevania ..smthing... of Sorrow and it's completely flawless. (the downside is that it doesn't scale the screen, so I lower my desktop resolution to 800x600 :P). Still making those damn stupid "seals" with the mouse is annoying as hell.

Actually the OpenGL renderer is the old one, it's the new custom renderer that Martin developed that has the massive speed boosts. Best emulator out there by far, and well worth the $2.50 (when the site's working)

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/jazzhiredguns/download_6177724.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=files&tag=files;title;1 Just started downloading the full free demo of this (the not-full demo is linked there). No official reviews up yet but the user reviews are primarily positive. Thought this would tickle the fancy of some of you here, as it's a knock off of Jagged Alliance. I'm at least giving it ye olde try.

Saint's Row 2 is more fun overall than GTA4

Here's another one:

NetDragon Websoft Inc., a Chinese game developer and operator announced a new licensing agreement with Electronic Arts to a 3D massively multi-player online role playing game (MMORPG) based on Electronic Arts' Dungeon Keeper line of games - including themes, characters and other game content.

As part of this agreement, NetDragon will develop the game and obtains the exclusive license to operate and distribute Dungeon Keeper Online throughout the Greater China region, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

"We are delighted to enter into an agreement with EA in the development of our first 3D MMORPG. Our partnership with this internationally renowned game developer is proof of our capabilities in game operations and development as well as a reflection of our market reputation," said Mr. Liu Dejian, Chairman and Executive Director of NetDragon. "Capitalizing our strength to create a strong gaming experience, powerful operating platform and unmatched expertise within China's online game market, we are confident that Dungeon Keeper Online will not only become successful in the Greater China region but also achieve remarkable results overseas."

Jon Niermann, President of EA Asia Pacific said, "The partnership marks a significant milestone for EA as it will enhance our intellectual property and extend our product reach throughout the Greater China region. It will also further enhance our intellectual property with differentiated, high-quality games, particularly in the field of MMORPGs."

That's why I said it pays to speak Cantonese...

Besides, you got to do background checks on suppliers to make sure they have a *clean* record. I usually spend 3-4 hours doing research on retailers, suppliers, and supply chains before buying anything on the internet if I buy from a new site. My business library has a lot of in depth information on online retailers which simplifies stuff.

For the record, I've had good experiences with dealextreme.com and their prices are very low and include free shipping. The only downside is they only seem to take Paypal.
