So I was looking for a vampire, scouring the sewers for the low filth when, out of boredom, I decide to head to one of the fortress-y thingies with crossbow towers and stuff.

The law-giver insulted my skills, saying I wasn't skilled enough for what services he required.
So I promptly accused him of being a night-creature.


He was my filthy vampire quest target all along.



I just chopped a mummy's hand off with hampster remains.



Died valiantly in battle.

I guess I'll give the wanderer mod a try. Though I'm having trouble finding out how it works.. or maybe I need to gen a new world.

Have a few dorfs died recently in your fort?
Apparently it shows up when enough dorfs die that the game thinks it's a number of note.

It has nothing to do with sieges, sadly.



Also, I'd love to see what triggers "No one even thought of journeying to such a cursed death-trap."

Would also write the readme a bit more.. friendlier for people who don't know exactly where the entity raws are.
I had to do a Windows search for "[PERMITTED_REACTION" in the DF folder to even know what to add it to.

Dwarf also because I have have the hope that adventurers will eventually move into my fortress! Human or elves can't move in.. I don't think.

You shouldn't need to rely on mods.
Just saiyan.

That and the wanderer mod seems to be for an earlier version.


That AAAND I like adventurer worlds that are "alive". No civilizations? Not my cup o' tea.

Dwarf hero.  I will also do humans or maybe elf heroes, though.  No fortresses with candy weapons lying around, that's cheap.  It just seems like the way the game was meant to be played.
I have to agree that it's cheap to rummage through forts for candy equips, but otherwise, the game just doesn't seem as long-lasting. You don't have much room to better yourself.

I could go elf, but that's not solving the problem.

I think exotics might breed.

If I recall, Toady said that animals BORN into captivity have less of a chance of reverting to wild animals.
It was either in the main page dev logs or somewhere in the Future of the Fortress stuff.
