it would be interesting if you could hire units, such as mercenaries.
you pay for them yearly with the trade caravan.
you provide food for them and possibly better equipment
also I'd like to see the ability to declare war

also still fiddling about with magic at the moment, trying to make a few new secrets, possibly going to base it off of the various schools of magic in D&D. that should cause a few towers to spring up devoted to them.

Why do sun dwarves live in the taiga?

Maybe add some kind of magic? There's a lot that could be done there.

It was basically an isolated biome that isn't covered in by any of the other catch all biome groups.
so I could make a separate creature list for embark. Oh and as a bonus? No goddamn cats.

Posting to watch, I've been watching your mod everytime you updated. I just never DL'ed it
well it's restricted to edits to the RAR files, and it works with the current version so when I get the first year done feel free to grab the save file, it should work as is without having to edit the rest of the game. (in retrospect you probably already knew this)

the basics of the mod are the addition of new cold weather creatures (Mammoths), new sources of wool, new plants, giant centipedes, new playable dwarf races, several new trading civilizations.

also, added gnolls as a new seiger race, added castes to goblins.

added a small percent chance of nickel to a few ores, starmetal, and cold steel.

also a bone carvers workshop.
