BTW, "highly evolved" is a nonsensical phrase (amongst other things, it implies an organism can be more evolved than another).Something totally can though. Depends on how long ago its oldest ancestor was around, relative to when it became alive. Like if we came across aliens whose planet had only given rise to life a billion years ago, we could safely say that we are more evolved, having a longer evolutionary history.
