It's not insane, trying to prove yourself wrong is the best way to show yourself to be right.

git gud, pre-industrial noobs

By definition, they have. Since pre-industrial society has become industrial society.
Nah I'm pretty sure they're all dead.

Seriously WTF West Yorkshire Police? That's a really dumb message. "Hey kids don't go to parties or do drugs because YOU MIGHT GET RAPED"
Better than the one where they said budgeting was domestic abuse
Link please.

General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread

I ended up having a dream where I deduced from 12 hours of suddenly forgotten events that I was dreaming. But instead of going on a power trip I was stuck with my imaginary friend (well the friend is real but the one I was stuck with was like them except imaginary and therefore filtered through what I know about them) kind of moping about the meaningless and very finite span of that existence.
GG me nice way to wake up on a down note.

But we're worse at not destroying the planet now than then.
Only because we're smart enough to damage its biosphere in a meaningful way. What could pre-industrial societies do, run a bunch of cattle off a cliff? Boo fucking hoo I'll be crying for them while I just dump these litres of acidic chemicals into this river. Scrubs.

As long as it's not a strategy game or like a city builder, I would never play a PC game without a controller, seriously. PC means the best of both worlds - couch gaming with a nice controller, and great processing power! Not being forced to the hassle of using mouse + keyboard. Totally breaks any game for me.
This amused me. 'Hassle'
Ugh, isn't it so frustrating to use that hardware you literally need plugged in to have your computer even function?

It should. That's why I'm feeling we should try and regain some of the seas.

Anecdotally...every single one of my PC gamer friends has it. None of my console-only friends have it, despite me praising it a good deal. Not sure why the console crowd isn't interested but...they just aren't.
Peasantry is more than a choice of hardware, it's a mindset.

I got a new mouse that works well and also looks pretty.

So basically we make the two land attacks that we can?

It's not like every refugee is coming in and commencing with the raping. I haven't heard about any rapes by native Europeans, is someone hiding those or are they just not "newsworthy?" :V
Arab immigrants show up disproportionately in perpetration of sexual assaults. LW, go look up some stats please kthx.

You can't just change immigration policies. It's keep them out or nothing. Or else what, you think you can sit them down and say "don't commit any crimes k?" and it'll work?

Looks like XCOM except the actions are bound to actual hotkeys instead of numbers that change all the time. Very glad of that.
