It is mangled!
The giant's heart has been pierced!
Augh, my mind's eye! It buuurns!

@ Armok: Mangled is already in there, and spliced suggests the item was genetically engineered.
I like this idea, but AlanL is right, these types of superficial touches are best left near the end.
Don't forget this could be used for positive things too!

Or it is placed in a forest called "The lost woods" by some strange elves called "The Hyrulians"

Running around screaming doesn't help much, though I suppose even the stoutest dwarf might start to panic once his or her beard catches.

...Or jump just as a hammerlord smokes you and get sent into the stratosphere. Weee.
I think this should be done automatically with a refuse pile, and could be very useful for keeping collections of bones and shells in nice, neat stocks, too.

Edit: Fixed sleepy logic...

- Make the base with 1 width hallways, but can be dug out to a more suitable width without ruining anything.
- Leave a few bedrooms on the end unfinished, and let the living quarters be positioned somewhere very expandable.
- Have lots of prepared food and drink, but leave little meat and plants. (perhaps stockpile meat and plants right next to their associated workshops. Meat between Butcher and Kitchen. Plants between field, brewery, and kitchen.)
- Make a meeting hall with statues and two pools, but leave a few statues out and leave one pool a pit with a bucket nearby.
I'm sure there is lots more that could be half-done or displayed for simplicity.
