Hey GreatWyrmGold, your math is off by one, you need to deduct a point or add another penalty somewhere.

Yeah, if you're interrupted, you can cancel and make a run for it. As far as moving around the pyramids goes, I'm willing to say you can transport almost anything through time without issue (it's still going to take a bit of luck, especially with the pyramids), but it'll cost you a point if you want a stasis beam or something to carry them around outside of time travel.

That said, if you know where to look in the future, you might be able to abduct some equipment that would work for that without needing to sacrifice the point.

Hm. Not going to do the subconscious/conscious thoughts one, but I'd accept the "knocks you out" or "inability to move in space" one as a -1 disadvantage.

Hm... not really, because a 0 in a stat is already pretty much as bad as it can be while still being usable. That said, I'll consider other disadvantages if you can figure out something good.

You can definitely move through space as well as time, yeah. However, I'm going to have to veto the sidewinder ability. This is going to be hard enough to keep track of without trying to work with even more alternate universes.

Did people read the bit about this not being first come first serve? A well thought out sheet is better than a quick one.  :P

Roll to Time Travel:
So, it's the beginning of the 23rd century, and after a LOT of trouble, the renowned scientist M. Oron has finally created a working time travel device! The initial invention is rather unreliable and can only time travel for short distances, but his later designs grow more and more intricate, until finally reaching a usable point. The key point is some barely understood force he unimaginatively named "time energy", powering these strange devices. The more time energy involved, the more amazing feats the machine can do. However, not content with this, he begins experimenting with time paradoxes, using a bomb inside a time machine to destroy an earlier version of itself, and so on. Inevitably, one of the resulting temporal anomalies completely consumes his lab, scattering several of his devices across the timeline.

You've found one of those devices.

Player List

NPC List:
1. GreatWyrmGold
2. Fniff
3. Persus13
4. misko27
5. scrapheap
6. anailater
7. Zanzetkuken The Great

There will not be a waitlist, considering that proper paradox/time travel use means you can effectively reverse death with a little luck and a little skill, especially if multiple time travelers work together. Instead I'll let people register to become particularly notable NPC's (aka: Time travel cops, important historical figures, etc.), and they'll gain control of said NPC's when the opportunity arises. If you're playing an NPC, make your actions via PM. Who knows, if you last long enough with the NPC, maybe you'd get upgraded to full player...

Anyway, apologies to anyone who didn't make the cut, there were a lot of great applications here to choose from.

Sending a private message to the rest of his squad, Kyle noted

"It's strange that the infection progresses this quickly though, a natural disease would take at least a few days for the effects to show. We might be dealing with a bioweapon of some sort here."

342
((Perhaps, but unless your character is psychic, I'm reasonably sure you couldn't hear Kyle's thoughts.))

Kyle watched Milno's coughing fit, somewhat concerned.

I'm pretty sure Milno was fine aboard the ship, so hopefully this coughing isn't anything serious.

Unless... we've all been exposed pretty thoroughly to whatever plague has wiped out most of this colony. If it spreads that quickly, then our entire team is in danger, as are any civilians we try to help.

And if that is the true cause, then there's nothing anyone can do to stop this disease from progressing to the natural conclusion.

Clenching his jaw, Kyle forced back his panic for the moment, considering his options.

Alright, think. First off, I don't yet know that it actually is the plague causing this, so panic would be premature. Secondly, at least I should be mostly immune to any kind of disease, along with anyone else who is mostly robotic. So, that means I should probably take care of any diplomacy that's needed, just in case.

And if the disease does actually end up causing about 80% of the team to die... well, at least I can drag them back to the ship for evac.

((I think Piecewise decided that there were far too many people who haven't yet been incapacitated.))

Bad idea, it would be too easy to let some of our other powers slip if we were to get that drunk.

I think go ahead and just head off to college already.
