I had an pretty early invasion of a treant army. The weird thing is that they dropped a lot of clothes and weapons at  the border of the map. I just closed of my fortress because I was to slow going to be able to defend against 30+ treants but after they were gone, i looted all the clothes and sold them so thats nice for me but I don't think treants are supposed to act like little santa's giving me nice stuff to sell ?  :P

Open the GUI, find the mods tab, find the "hungry ghost" button, disable them.

They are part of IndigoFenix Mythical Monsters mod and seemingly heavily overpowered.

If i do that, will it take effect on the current fortress ?

Yes, with a dfhack script called item-syndrome for armor and spatter-add for weapons.

so only with dfhack ? Because I was thinking of making some mod(never modded df before) that adds in metals, some workshops and then some sort of list with equipement they could Make.

Is it possible to Make armor that is made Out of Special Gems or some Special metal that gives the wearer increased movement Speed or a burn on attack ?

Each target is its own range androom, with attention paid to shooting direction. A set of parallel ranges is the way to do it..

I got something like this and only one dwarf Will shoot. Are the = walls ? Because i've tried that too. And what Does the scedual Have to Be ?


Yes, the == are walls.

Each is it's own range. Scheduling the number of dwarves that will train (Minimum number) is controllable. Each range has to be assigned to the squad.

i did this and No improvments. Just only one at a time .

Besides, you can also put a barracks inside the area, they can train while doing other drilling. But make sure the barracks area is within those archery ranges.

But whats the Point of them doing training as dodgers and hammerdwarfs when they Are gonna wlk the walls and shoot Down at enemies ?

I really don't get the system. At the moment I have 4 Mdwarfs in one squad. I have 6 or 7 archery targets, all set up as a room to train archery in ( I tried doing only just one) and it just keeps doing the same thing. One dwarf will come, shoot up their ammo, then goes to the meeting halls and another dwarf comes and repeapts the process. Isn't there a way to get it so that they all shoot at the same time and get them to refill their ammo and start training again. Otherwise i feel there is no need to train them and just let them hunt random stuff (atleast then more then one dwarf trains). I know setting a barracks and letting them train that way will just train their hammerskill which I don't want. I've set the sqedual so that Min =1 and they train each month when set to active. I've tried playing with a lot of settings, putting walls between the targets, changing the sqed, changing the size. None of it worked. I really want it to start working because I love ranged combat, and I love to get things done propperly and correctly

Whenever I go in either Object testin arena, or the world gen. It just crashes.

Yea, anyway i could still use it , wondering if anyone had the Same problem and fixed it

So whenever I open the workflow tab on some shops it crashes, without a error. it turns white and windows asks me if i want to debug (because of Visual studio i guess) or just close it. I'm really afraid to continue my fort because I keep losing lots of progress because of this. Does anyone know of this or a possible fix ?

DF Gameplay Questions / possibility of a cage above lava ?

hey guys, i played Df a couple months ago and waithing for the update to start playing again, I was wonder if it's possible to hang a cage above lava with a chain, and if this is possible could you make it so that the cage drops into the lava. Would be so nice if this could be done, maybe with a carts above a lava pool, i never worked with them so i don't know if its possible to hang a chain against a cart.
