Other Games / Re: Chapter Master - In the name of the Emperor!

For the Deathmatch I think you would be picking the opponent, not the level of spectating.

Deathmatch Opportunity:
1. Native Beast - A space marine (in full armour) fights a dangerous (for unarmored humans) beast with only a chainsword. Not really fair, but its more for honing reflexes and avoiding being struck.
2. Trial by Combat - A severe grievance between two Space Marines is handled through ritualistic combat to the death OR a crime by a marine is judged through ritual combat with another marine/Chaptermaster before the Emperor.
3. Challenge of Valor - Fully equipped marine is dropped in the middle of a group of angry Xenos. How long can he survive before he has to call in support? He might be able to be extracted safely, he might not. That's the risk.

I don't think there is enough interest to keep this going. I myself have a bit lost interest in the grinding while nobody else is on. Join another empire, transfer anything valuable, put a note in the thread so that we can rejoin if we want to at some point in the future to help out (maybe they get in a fight?).

Actually, that might be a good start. We burn down our own city (the top one we dont want anymore), but we designate an opposing force to defend it against ourselves.

War? Why yes that sounds lovely. But not Primogen straight off the bat. We need to practice our tactics.

The issue is, everyone there is so peace loving hippy dippy, the first empire to start something is gonna get teamed up against. So I suggest we start by raiding, burning down secondary cities that were built too close to us (that one up north looks a lot like Primogen) or perhaps built too close to the newbie areas (threatening our newbies!).

Finally, I suggest we turn Tradesea into Bloodsea, our Great Ocean Fortress. Trench locations become wall locations, they build faster anyway, and would neatly segment our city into defended zones. It has plenty of mountains to provide the iron to fuel our war machine.

On Tradesea: I've started to do designs myself, rip it up if its wrong, or let me know and I'll rip it up. Caveshelters denote future trenches (only the corners are marked).

On people growing bored: If there are no wars and no pve, fighting people will grow bored. What do armies do during peacetime? They train. As in, wargames, exercises, etc. I suggest we develop some wargames or even organize military exercises with another empire. Truth is, we have no idea how a major war would be fought. What abilities are useful, which ones are junk and not worth the time, what things are broken, what strategies work, etc. I suggest a new city 'warcamp' and an agreement on a 'limited' war with one of the other top empires to only be allowed to burn that city (they build a similar city, like a red vs blue exercise). We can even each put a couple of bars of gold into the pot to give some incentive to fight/steal. One of you bored people can set up the city, the design is irrelevant (or maximum defensibility, your call).

So what is our plan with Tradesea? Its kinda basic at the moment, so I've begun some basic gathering operations (quarries, etc). What specific needs to be done here?

It's been laggy for me as well, I just thought it was my internet. Guess we dwarf-rushed this thing a bit too hard.

I would imagine he couldn't just sit in a high danger dungeon and 'force' a hero to come to him. It should maybe rather involve him targeting the hero's friends and family who can't defend themselves to make the guy come to him. Slight difference, but now you couldn't just do it anywhere. Or maybe you could, but the effect is lessened if the Champion has to send out minions to do the dirty work instead of doing it himself, which would require being at the correct POI.

It's complete in the sense that you're asking. But it isn't 'done'. The developer keeps bringing out new features/polishing existing features so don't expect it to ever be 'done'. Just grab it and play. It feels like a completed game and you won't ever find a screen that says 'feature not implemented'.

Once you realize the UI isn't quite as complicated as it appears at first, the rest should flow easily from there.

My advice is as follows: Press f3 after you've started a game. This brings up the main screen from which you can do pretty much everything.

Press all the buttons and see what they do/to what submenu they take you. You can close any window you like, if you accidentally close the main one, just press f3 again.

Pretty much like Dwarf Fortress, you will end up using only one or two of the submenus most of the time.

There is definite interest here. I've been eagerly checking for updates on a daily basis.

I'm up for saving the world being slaughtered mercilessly. I will take the very FIRST character on the list, any gender, any nationality, any class (any list, pick one).

Name: Rabid
Condition: Disturbingly psychotic.

Won't last long, so more than that is pointless.

I like
Do the questions we have already asked count?
as a first question.

Something else to remember, as a Daedric Lord, his perception on things and ours is probably different. So even if he does give an honest answer, we might not be able to interpret it 'truthfully'.
Maybe ask him if he can hear YOUR voices.

Someone explained that to me once. Trade ships can only decide on new orders at every increment, so if it takes a ship 13 days to go from planet A to planet B and you advance time by 30 days, it moves to planet B and sits there for the remaining 17 days doing nothing. The same 30 days done in 5 day increments would allow the trader to perform 2 runs instead.

And I got ninja'd.

What I meant by ignoring stupid and pointless questions are questions like:
"What's your favourite colour?"
"How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck would chuck wood?"
etc.
Questions that both make us lose the game contest and give no useful information.

By the by, we are playing four rounds of five. Why not a single round of 20? What is the difference?
