I think we should have a bit of a friendly competition going between the two guilds to see who can set it up first.  Would be interesting :)

Required stats are Plains 5+.  Also the wooden tower might be an idea as, as it stands, I would need 2600 Marl Blocks to complete the building

Domains are extra pieces of land so you can place them in several places to get the boulders.  The HQ is located in Whitestone Field

The first guild from Bay12 has been formed and for now will be of mixed members until more guilds form. 

Current Members

So we need two more initial members, and to keep a balance we need a Wood/Carpenter and Flora.

Now, what I have learnt from making the guild.
You need a treaty which you can use to place a claim similar to home.  This will create your guild headquarters.  You get 5 members, shared storage place, cool icon on map and guild chat.

Framework: 0/50 (Will cost 2 gold, 13 Silver)
Cloth Wall: 0/50 (Will cost 3 gold, 41 Silver, 50 Copper)
Cloth roofing: 0/50 (Requires crafting)
Rigid Wall: 0/50 (Will cost 2 gold, 88 Silver, 50 Copper)
Rigid Roofing: 0/50 (Requires crafting)
Tower: 0/30 (Requires crafting)
Fortification: 0/30 (Requires crafting)
Foundation: 0/20 (Requires crafting)

Land Expansion: 0/10 (Will cost 20 gold)

Total Estimated Gold Cost: 28g 43s 0c

From what I gather, you need both.  The treaty to make the guild and the domain to actually build stuff on the map.  To increase the member cap from 5 to 10 you need to build headquarters. To get from 10 to 25 is very difficult

Right, I have some good news.  I may be able to set up the first guild within the next 48 hours.  I am stuck on a name though so I thought its best to come here for some ideas.

I have joined now and am slowly skilling up in the general vicinity of Seriyu.  Decided to focus on Frontier and Wilderness with the plan of improving my fishing chances.
