The obvious choice would be 'magnetically-contained-close-range-plasma-weapon'.
See, it's more of a neon light on a sword handle.
Edit: "the New York Institute of Futureish Murder Mark-Five Variable-Length Urban-Combat Plasma-Based 'Blade' (that is, a Device for the Creation and Manipulation of Plasma for the Purposes of Killing the Mans).
