Giant kea and kea-people keep trying to steal our gabbro blocks. Butchered the kea for meat, and it is much needed.

Zombie is still climbing a tree, crossbows are being made in hopes of knocking it down and lifting the siege so we get migrants and the autumn caravan.

My pack animals (a pair of yak bulls) have now started fighting with the zombies hanging around the edge of the map. One bull died quickly, and one zombie got kicked in the head and thrown into a pond.

The living bull now has a name, Curoegu, Ringedbrave. I think I'll memorialize it, if the zombies go away.

The bowzombie I had only kicked in the heads of my 3 strong military, and blocked with its bow from what I remember.

Currently have naked zombies climbing trees around my fort, but they aren't doing much else.

I had one accompany a single necromancer... sent my 3 man militia to kill them, and they were all taken out by the zombie... don't remember it shooting at all, but it sure was a good fighter.

Found an excellent spot on my necro tower laden world I posted in the .40.xx cookbook.

Surface iron AND flux, lots of trees, haven't gotten past the first of spring (Lich180 cancels Play Dwarf Fortress: Interrupted by Work) but it looks quite promising. Gonna see if the site holds up between 40.02 and 40.03, which it should since the world gen seed has worked through all versions so far.

Ok, the list says I'm next, so I'll be sure to get right on that project, and see what can be done to get that water up. I'll aim to get the pump stack and a reservoir at least. Haven't seen anything about the save yet sadly. Hopefully he posts it soon, I have all day tomorrow to myself so I can look around and see what all I can get done.

Booted up and old save, and are we drawing water from both cavern layers we have exposed, or just the one? There is a drain in the first layer, leading off the map so I'm not sure if that is for more cavern access or what. Anyone know?

I've noticed that even after they change to the % sign, and say they have fruit, they still harvest into stacks of bushes or leaves. You can grow them too, but end up with the same thing, leaves and bushes.

Has anyone built a power plant or anything? What is the wind like, and I don't remember if we have an aquifer...

Awesome, think I'm next in line!

They just haven't dug far enough yet, apparently. Moria didn't fall in a day, after all :P

I did have a dwarf get struck by a log in the leg, and he promptly fled in terror from the unseen assailant, also startling the nearby woodcutter. They both spent the rest of the season fleeing in terror, climbing up trees and falling out of them.

Totally worth it.

What do the information screens say about their personalities and stuff? I've noticed the more aloof dwarves are more likely to slack off and not pick up jobs (low discipline?) And nervous dwarves are more prone to fleeing in terror from an attacker...

Well they scared off the necromancer, bu the bowman zombie promptly kicked in all 3 of their heads through bronze helms.

Restarted, and my mason decided he was gonna climb up trees, and fell out of a tree, splattering himself all over the damn place. Looks like they are being scared out of the trees by ravens.

Trees are the new waterfalls.

EDIT: And another one fell into a pond from a tree, and drowned.

This is hilarious.

Covering the ground in white.
