DF Modding / Creature ideas for apocalypse themed mod

Ive been working on a complete dwarf fortress overhaul mod for a while now that turns the theme of the game from medieval fantasy to modern apocalypse
(think of something like fallout), and as such ive had to remove around 80% of the game's original non-irl creatures while having only few creatures to replace the removed ones.

So i decided to make this thread for anyone interested in giving their creature ideas for the mod.
I will likely accept any ideas into my mod as long as they arent overly unrealistic (rainbow dragon that shoots lightning from its nipples) or obvious jokes.

The mod will be released in about a week or so with your name in the credits if i used your idea. Have fun posting! :D

DF Modding / Modded creature hostile to its own civ

So i tried to make a new creature with its own civ. Everything seemed to work fine, however as i went to adventure mode to test it futher i noticed the following things

1.As soon as im seen by my own custom creature (both same race) they will attack me relentlessly, same goes for goblins that seem to live with my custom civ.
2.I am unable to talk to them, they will not give any kind of answer to anything my character says.
3.The creature is friendly with boogeymen, yet still gets ambushed by them, resulting in boogeymen constantly teleporting in closer to my adventurer only to remain still and do nothing.

So i managed to find a necromancer tower and went inside, killed everyone inside, and came across a book i knew had the secrets of life and death. I put it in my inventory, open my inventory and select it and press a to read it, however no matter what i press i cant read the book, this has not happened until i got dfhack with ''more information'' menu when i select an item.

Edit:I just figured out on my own that i needed to press I and not i, the wiki makes it seem like you need to select the item from your inventory and so my brain just registered I as i.

So i tried making a new creature from cave blob files but ive ran into a problem, every attack the creature does will deal extreme amounts of damage always killing instantly if hitting upper/lower body or head, even a bronze colossus! I cant figure out what is wrong with my raws.

Is this possible? Ive tried to add

and

to the creature but despite that the creature still seems to not be able to fully regenerate from wounds. what do i need to add?
Also is it possible for a creature to regenerate lost limbs?
