So if my dwarf has "never becomes angry" and all other traits of SANE dwarf (though its oxymoron:) ) but has prone_to_rage then it will have all the bonuses he needs in a fight but will never attack fellow dwarfs? Now i know which reaction i want in a psychologist workshop:) Only question is how to change soul with interaction now:)
How do you train up weapon skills?
Is it per slash/maul/stab/attack or is it per kill?
If it's per attack, you could use him as a training dummy!
Huh, that's pretty cool. Thanks a bunch, Deon!
4) How would I make a facehugger die after facehugging something with its interaction? Is there any interaction token that attacks the user?
Yes, but creatures won't use an attack interaction that hurts themselves, so far as I can tell. This has caused many a problem for absorption-type interactions.
Is it possible to make creatures grow new/extra body parts using syndromes and such?
The human that showed up on map edge, if it was anounced, was a were-creature that arrived without it being full moon. Let's hope it returns and turns out to be a were-elephant
If his body is never found then nobody will mourn him.perfect crime
so far i have not found anything but stone in my caves. I do have a hospital, its stocked (well not completly) and theres dwars using the beds tehre, but im not sure if the "doctors" are actually doing anything there. i will have to check. They are dying randomly, out in the open? That rules out vampires...
Could they have contracted some horrible disease? Those commonly originate from a certain kind of underground monstrous beasts, and in evil biomes.
Also, maybe they are getting injured, and do not receive proper medical care. Have you set up a functioning hospital?
Does this help?
that could be their "going on break" thing.
GENIUS.
...I can imagine goblins in an office setting, hanging around a water cooler, and ambushing weaker goblins as they pass by.
i distinctly remember toady saying that he didn't want mounts in vanilla dwarf fortress. he doesn't like the idea of dwarves riding things.I'd have to agree, something about mounts just seems undwarven. Considering mounts were mostly used to travel long distances, and the distinct lack of long distances underground, not to mention the cramped spaces, I don't see how learning to ride things would be a high dwarven priority.
