Whatever new stuff is released for Scam Citizen

Like another tech demo after 5 years in development and 100 milion bucks pumped into that game ?
I mean, i'd love to be wrong but if that game actually comes out and it will have even 50 % of promised features you can call me Pope.

I liked micro in the old XCOM inventory/base/personell managment... I like taking more than 1 rocket, flares, different magazines with different ammo etc.

Old Xcom is clearly inferior in only one aspect - really unclear graphics and really inconsistent rules for when can the soldier see aliens and vice versa.
There were too many situations when my soldiers didn't saw anyone just to take one or two steps forward and spotting 2-3 xenos just standing there, not even hiding or anything. ( see Angry Joe's XCOM 2012 review for a good example of that) .

Oh well, I just got lucky... Aliens. With missiles. THEY KILLED ONE OF MY FIFTY SU37s! The Bastards! (Missile fighter design of mine.)
Holy shit that are some serious casaulties ... I think you should consider surrendering, you French.  ;D 8)

Bandits that are in the middle of nowhere
Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 are all guilty of this to some extent. Basically, bandits are just located in random places on the map, just sitting there, instead of being in places that are near important trade/travel routes like most bandits would be.

Well to be honest - most important trade routes are usually the most protected, patrolled and most crowded, not a good place to rob anyone.

But that also brings us to another thing :
Bandits that have absolutely no self preservation, no will of survival and basically act as fanatics ready to die just for the sake of action and giving player exp and loot.

Charging 1lvl schmuck in leather armour and shitty weapons ? Understanable ( if somewhat debateable - its not like guy like will have much cash on him ) especially if bandits have the numerical advantage.
Charging the same guy, 90 lvl later when he is armed with vorpal blade, demonic armour and has a pet dragon ? Completely retarded but for vidya bandits its basically no problem.

How on earth can you fit enough stuff into only 500 tons? (I'm trying to make a fighter.)

1. What engine stuff do you use? What tech level of engine do you wait to have before making fighters? What engine size (1 or 2) do you use? What trade-offs (explosion vs power vs efficiency etc.) do you use?

2. What lasers/fire control do you put on your fighters?

3. Do you include anti-missile stuff, armor, shields, anything?

4. Do you include engineering spaces? (Fighter-size, of course.)
1. One-two engine, size one, power x3
2. Small fire control flagged as fighter - they get bonus to tracking speed. No laser - 50% sized gauss cannon and box launchers.
3. No, only fighter defense should be speed. Other than that - small, low resolution active sensor in case of Carrier losing the target.
4. Why would you ?? Maintnance should be done on board Carriers/PDC's .

Aurora is kinda different and more realistic in this regard when compared to other space 4x - good efficient fighter requires relatively advanced tech unlike other 4x where fighters are often first and most basic thing you get.

Oh and dont forget to cut deployment time to 0.1 - this will reduce crew to 1-2 people and shave off some tons.

I imagine the more recent Paradox games might be a pain to pirate, though, with all the DLC, cosmetic or not, and updates.

Why is that ? Its not like there are no pirate versions of CK2 with all DLC and newest patches ...

I would love to see more automated facilities .. Auto missile factories, auto fuel refs etc.
It would make my autism a little calmer when making a proper military base/outpost - somehow it gets tipped off when i have "military base" with 100m+ civies on the planet ...

Maybe meant to be a race that isnt unified yet?
God i hope not, seeing as each one of those population TH/EM outputs is equal to mine.. And frankly i never have seen something like that in the four years i played Aurora..

Without prodigious use of armor, point defense, internal redundancy, internal armor, external redundancy, and those components which speed loading and unloading, you're going to have a really bad time trying to land something on a PDC protected planet.
Think like so: the enemy can have an almost arbitrary quantity of meson-armed PDCs pointed at your ships. Ships which is usually not arbitrary in their internal redundancy or quantity.
The only way to avoid this is using larger orbital ranges in your order modifier, possibly, but I've not checked if it works yet. Is it possible to deploy troops at 200,000 km orbit?
Bloody defeatist heretic.... BLAM !

Maybe we should have special Titan combat drop module ??
