Well great job on making us look like fools. Just pick up the cap to the flask and follow him into the shop. Browse through his wares looking for some better clothes, traveling supplies, and some parchment. We specifically need some better boots(For walking long distances without hurting our feet, clay shoes must suck), a cloak(To protect us against the weather), something better for carrying drinking water with us, and a knife. The knife is a very important tool for all kinds of things and can obviously be used for a weapon.
I completely support this, all is very logical.

Depending on the prices though, we might be forced to... drastic measures. If worse comes to worse, we could use a slight amount of magic to knock a whole heap of stuff over in another part of the store, and as he is picking it all up quickly stuff a few vital things into our pack then help him clean up, acting kind the whole time.
We need better stuff.

Walk to the village.
While travelling, practise manipulating the wind to catch your hair, you want to make an impressive entrance...
Only feasible thing to do.

I'd say, though, after we make our dramatic entrance to the village, we start trying to find a runic mage. I mean, it wouldn't hurt to try to find a teacher for us, right? So I'm thinking that is our first port of calling.

Personality Traits: Adventurous, Risk-taker, Analytical, Open-minded, Intrapersonal, Passionate
Element: For the Poll! {Preferring Wind :3}
Channeling item class: Finger-less Gloves!
+1 to this

And we should pick an element that we can use in not only battle but in other more useful ways too. Stone or life could make shelter out of rock or plants, fire can melt and shape metal and glass, water can carve rock and keep us hydrated in deserts when we draw it from underground as well as making sea traveling easier, wind could make us extremely useful for sailing boats and mills, etc.

I personally am going for stone, since that seems useful and a bit of a new choice from people who like to take stuff like fire or light and such. IT'S TIME TO ROCK!!
I would plus one this, but i am more for writing than for gloves in spicific. Yes, it calls for a bit of preplanning, but, we can make spells for any situation as long as we have a medium and writing material. Actually, i think it should be written words, than just righting utincles, so we can write in dirt and have what we need to work with.
On that note, i am also for the plant element because, there is nearly no situation where it will not help.
+1 for writing over gloves.
I'm all for this stuff, cos you know the character sounds awesome. I actually voted fire cos I reckon it is one of the more practical, but that isn't really important.

I reckon for the implement, something original WOULD be nice, so maybe something like, I dunno, if air ends up being voted then the cape idea was pretty cool, or something like musical instruments, to PLAY the magic. That, I reckon, is another good one.
But, if all else fails and it is writing-vs-gloves, I would go writing.

tl;dr- Music to play magic, or if not then writing implements +1.
Wait, if you're going for something original, why are you choosing writing over gloves as an implement? Writing out scrolls to use later is basically how every single D&D wizard operates. Whereas punching arcane energies into desired shapes is something I don't think has ever been done before.
I wasn't referring to the writing as the original bit, I just sorta prefer that idea of writing our magic to the punching as a concept, if we end up falling into a one vs the other scenario. I just see it as more practical.

Changing my vote to:

Remove leaf from face

Head back home and check on how things are doing. Drop off our stuff and see about fixing Shelby up and make sure edgar and the grouge are okay.

Head back and return the sword we borrowed and also check on the new prisoner.

Go to the tavern for a (non-alcoholic) drink and see what the town is talking about.
+1 for solid plan

If you look back, it had been awake and alert since before we made the gems.
I'm fairly sure its not awake or alert NOW. They said it was breathing, not that it is conscious. The dimmed eyes indicate that it is unconscious but not dead
Still, in case it DID see us, we could just say that it might have seen "The Necromancer," and been unable to tell the difference between two humans. Or that it was too fuzzy-headed to differentiate anyway. Running would just confirm what it says, thinking of a good cover story is a better option.
But make sure Shelby and Edgar are close by just in case.

Isn't Mayard a really bad liar though?
Try to act surprised, like here:
Ask her if she knows what it is. We can play dumb and see if she knows anything that might give us away.
+1

plus this is a good idea:
I'd actually suggest asking specifically, "Do you know what the hell it is?" Seems a bit more surprised and confused than "Do you know what it is?"

Probably just me nitpicking but I stand by it all the same.

But I reckon if it fails, try to pass it off as tiredness. I mean, I personally cannot emote very well when I just wake up. Maybe even pretend to start getting suspicious of HER if she keeps asking you questions.

Since we can't use the energy, we should get it out of there. Covering it up would be too conspicuous.

If Shelby and Edgar are close enough by, get them to haul it out of there.

If they can't make it in time, or can't lift it, ask Olof what to do.

If all else fails, take to it with your sword, destroy it, and scatter the shards. Stamp them into the ground.
I think losing the 17 energy is better than being found out by Yergen.
That gal is fierce, and we can always get more energy.
+1 to this.

I'm gonna have to go with this as well, but another option if that doesn't work could blame it as an afteraffect of the golem/something it did. I mean, how many people would know how golems work in this world, lets be honest.

Just tell her its for her own protection because there is an attack on the town and humans might come in looking for enemies.

This guy.
This guy. He is smart. Just tell her about the other humans freaking out about the grouges, and that you wish to protect her.
+1

I'm gonna have to vote for a quick exploration/loot of the shop while Gain is out. You know, nothing big. But who knows what we might find. Ya dig?

Get everyone to bumrush the robot.

They still have the capability to deliver high-voltage electric friendship and injections of super-fun poisony goodness at a moment's notice, so maybe rushing is a bad move.
Maybe try interrupting the scene, getting the attention of everyone and like, putting forward a job even old people can do. Like, I dunno, something. Attempting to attack is a sorta bad move I reckon.

Height: 1.784m                     Weight: 82kg
Previous Occupation: Biosphere consultant on Mars.

Qualifications / Accolades (eg, University Degree, Heavy Machinery License / Athletics Award):

Reason for Deporation to Chiron-Beta-Prime:
While employed in putting the finishing touches on Mars' biosphere (which would complete the terraforming process) I accidentally unleased a genetically modifed termite which wiped out many of the trees on the planet, setting the terraforming process back 50 years.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I actually like this idea, he seems pretty original. But I don't know why a Molecular Biologist would be working on the biosphere of the planet, that is more an engineer's job. I'd say more change it to he was working on stabilising the atmosphere for required mammalian living conditions, and changed the pressure or temperature too much and damaged the sphere or something.
Or just change his job to degrees in engineering.

25 magic, 5 dexterity, 5 strength, 5 endurance.  The words shall be Focused and Intelligent.
I don't think we really need to buff Shelby up just yet. I think it would be better to have two functioning skeletons than one tank and one useless bone puppet. I think we really ought to push this magic for this skeleton.

Pretty much this. Also, with skeletal muscle, does the muscle actually like sorta show up, made of bone? Then, say, if we put a deep hood over the skeleton in question, after being muscled up, could we pass it off as a person with really pale skin? Pop in some fake eyeballs maybe for added affect?

I am more concerned with the immediate "I shall rend the fool who summoned me into a thousand tiny pieced and feast upon their soul!" than issues with a poor work ethic... On matters of loyalty, a summoned spirit is more likely to stab you in the back and claim the Amulet of Yendor for itself than a created spirit, but even then, having someone bigger than them around would help to keep them from open revolt...

I vote Olof's corpse for a magic skeleton. Its bones should already be attuned to carrying magic...

Ask Olof about combining golem magic with pure skeleton magic. If you use an animate skeleton as the core of a golem, what happens?

Discuss the 'presence' of a spirit. Can a spirit be bound to multiple skeletons to create a giant, many-armed skeleton? Can a spirit animate a skeleton that isn't properly assembled, maybe two sets of legs with a head on top of them to jump at things and bite them? Could a single spirit be spread over two separate skeletons, and how much could such a pair of skeletons separate without straining the spirit?

Ask Gurdy to stay hidden until the human/grouge conflict has subsided.

Pretty much all of this. +as many pluses as I can give. If the giant super-skeleton can be constructed, I vote we just start stockpiling as many corpses as we can, for the assembly of the monstrosity.
