I am not good at moving topics. I accidentally sent it to bay 12 announcements, and that is bad because it is not a bay 12 announcement.

But now it is here in the stories section. Thanks Mr Willsauce.

Brilliant story! But... shouldn't this go into the "stories" section?
And what happens next!?
Yes it should . But I don't know how to move it there.

I have killed every great evil on this island. Vampires, necromancers, a demon pretending to be a god. And now they hate me, they think I killed their god. IT WAS A DEMON! &&&&&&&&
They have given me the name Thomo Practicefights the Gloomy Furnaces. I have no idea what it means, but I'm sure it's not nice.

I'm leaving. I'm leaving this island and never coming back. The ocean can't stop me, nothing can. I head to the same beach I woke up on, it is the closest to the mainland. I don't make it before nightfall, and I am all alone. I hear a insane laughing cackling sound, but it's probably nothing. Probably has something to do with the demon's webs.

NOPE! 5 bogeymen suddenly surround me, still cackling like idiots. Once, these would've posed a challenge for me. Not any more. I draw my stone knife instead of my sword this time. I have already mastered the sword, so might as well practise with this. I am Thomo Practicefights after all. It is a poor weapon, not even managing to cut unarmoured skin, but I wield it with such strength that it can break bones. The fight Is over before long, but I have a broken toe. There is still more to learn.

I arrive at the ocean when it is still night, and wait for dawn. It seems a lot bigger than I remembered, way bigger that even the tallest mountain. I can do this. I jump in, and sink right to the bottom. Forgot about all this armour I am wearing, 3 mailshirts and a breastplate. No wonder I can't swim! oh well, I don't need to breathe anyway, cause I am a vampire-necromancer. I can just walk across the ocean floor.

Underwater is weird. It's so empty, where are all the sea monsters and mermaids I've heard so much about? And what about the coral? I wanted a piece of that as a souvenir. Oh well, maybe I will find a titan made of the stuff.

Underwater is slow. Why is it so much slower than land? is it the currents, or the density? (it's the frame rate. took forever.)

And finally I am at the other side. It's nice to be able to breath again. I don't need to, but it still feels good. Now to look for a town.

The skateboarder collides with Nav
Nav is knocked off his bike and tumbles backwards
Nav slams into an obstacle, bruising the left upper arm's skin
Nav stands up
The skateboarder apologizes

You forgot the tearing of the left lower arm's skin while skidding. New feature.

But my skin wasn't torn, and I didn't skid. Ruined my shirt though.

There was this one time with the bouncy jogger.... I still have that scar lol.

And good job with the roc. The dwarf who slayed it, what is his title?
Sucks we don't have a pet roc though.

I think I should've posted this in the stories section

I return to the capital city, where the demon usurper was. I went in the middle of the night, to avoid all the crazy fangirls and stuff. I am a hero you know. Armed with my new necromancer and vampire powers, I confronted it. "You are a night creature!" I said. "are you mad? I'm not a demon, i'm a god!" he replied, sure of himself. Then I threw the book at him. The shot glanced away, but it got the point across. He stood up tall, and shouted "I AM SAPI HOODFROG THE SHADOW OF PUZZLING! I HAVE KILLED THOUSANDS AND YOU ARE INSIGNIFICANT!"

He spat webs at me, but they missed. Then I threw my sword at him, and slashed off his left hand. This will be an easy fight if I can just avoid his webs. I couldn't, he tangled up my legs so I couldn't move. Then he just stood there, a few paces away, shooting more webs at me. "Come closer you coward." He doesn't so I decide to throw more stuff at him. Most of it misses or glances off, but a book severs his right leg, finally my shield severed his head when I threw it at him.

Then I worked my way out of his webs, using the dolomite knife I found. I go collect all my stuff, and a masterpiece bronze knife from the demon. I tried to raise him as an undead, but I guess it only works on organic bodies, not demons made of sand.

I leave the castle, by now it is daylight. An arrow pierces my foot, I can't walk. Someone shouts "there! there's the traitor. Get him!" But I was already gone. I am a master of disguise. I equip my crutch, heroes should always have a crutch with them. I leave the city through narrow alleyways, sometimes going through abandoned houses, or climbing on rooftops. I leave the city without having to kill a single innocent, though I did feed on a few alleycats.

I leave the city, heading for the coast. I have done enough for these people, and I don't think they wan't my help anymore.

Nearly instantly, I could feel the power flowing through my body. I was no longer hungry, thirsty, or tired. More importantly, the undead stopped attacking me for I am undead too now. A necromancer, this one a man with only 9 fingers, came out collect our corpses to add to his army. There is one still alive(technically undead) hiding amongst the corpses! His head leaves his shoulders, slashed off by my sword. He never even saw me.

I step through the tower door, met my hundreds of zombies and two necromancers. This time, the zombies ignore me. The necromancers however, do not. They clumsily attack me with knives, obviously used to relying on their servants for protection. It is not a challenge. I went up to the second floor Hundreds of zombies, 3 more necromancers. Easy, though the zombies do get in the way a bit. I travel to the top of the tower, killing any necromancer I see. At the very top room there is a library full of books, and the cave-fish man necromancer Id Suitorbuttons waiting for me.(sorry I said amphibian man earlier, he was actually a cave-fish man). He wields a strange and ancient looking knife made of dolomite.

Id actually manages to put up a fight, bruising by left upper leg. No big deal. I choke him until he passes out, then suck his blood because I am a vampire and it is better to drink evil people's blood. Then I take the knife. It is not a very sharp knife, nor is it valuable. It is a nice little trinket though.

I search through the library. I find 3 books of note. The first tells about a minotaur and the location of its labyrinth. The second contains the secret's of life and death. I am now a necromancer, as well as a vampire. Lovely! The third however, is the most horrible of all, It concerns my god, Disem Shadowdeeps the Hateful Devil. It tells of how, in the year 5 of the modern era, the demon Sapi Hoodfrog the Shadow of Puzzling fooled the lost kingdom into believing that he was their god. I must kill him and make the truth known.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Friendly necromancers?
« on: October 01, 2012, 08:54:11 pm »
I am a vampire, a necromancer, demon slayer, and an enemy to most civilizations.

I walked into a tower, and all the necromancers were friendly. I have most of them as followers now.
Is this normal? will they still raise the dead? will they turn on me?
