It's not of course an artefact, but I have a large gem (rose quartz...) that has been incrusted and engraved more or less 10-15 times and now worths 17000*.

I don't really know what to make with it, as it can even be stockpilled in a place where dwarves would see it...

Such a pity ! I dreamt of a meeting hall made with glass floor, glass roof, glass walls and fill water all around. But if they can't see it,...or worse, if they are afraid,it's not such a good idea.

Yes, but fortifications can be destroyed by Building destroyers...

I could make grates and after windows, but windows can only be placed between two walls.

It's quite strange that walls made of glass aren't transparent...

And what if i built a drawbridge made of glass ? Is it transparent ? I could make water flowing BELOW the dwarves (or above), that would be cool. But not if it's not transparent...that's a weird bug. Too bad !

I want to make walls made of glass to create a big room next to my meeting hall, and fill it with with either megabeasts, or fill it with water or make a giant aquarium (and fill it with water, of course)

Are walls made of glass transparent, and do you think this can work ?

Do you think the view of water next to them can make my dwarves happy (if they like "the color blue" ?) or not ?

I found it because i was following the (future) release of "Magna mundi", the next game of Paradox Interactive. And one day I saw that a new game was about to be developed..."A game of Dwarf", i read the forum and then there i am !

I have had two querns (with one decorated with mudstone cabochon), and with of course the image of the second on the first.

Yeah ! At least still better than adamantine mace(s), for sure...

It's not "close to 0". It's 0. If it begins with "Age of Myth/legend", it can't be "Age of three power" and after "Age of XXX and XXX" and then "Age of XXX". Even in pocket world. It just doesn't happen. Eventually after the age of heroes come twilight/golden age and that's all.

And I think there should be more different ages (such as "Age of wars"), because it's not very original...

I used to use drowning room, then sell back all their stuff, but I got overrid of mittens and socks, so now I use the Atomsmasher™

Some things could be useful, in my opinion :

- Family trees
- Maps when selecting historical figures. Some are always wandering, and it could be possible/interesting to see where they are going, and what are they doing in each place.
- Integrating hamlet/towns/fortress maps

Having a "Age of three powers" is easy. Just create a world with only 3 - either titan or megabeast- great creature.
You will first see "age of three powers", then "age of XX and XX", and after "Age of -nameofthecreature" or "Age of raceofthiscreature" or "The nameofthecreature-ic age" (For the titan, i haven't check wether it's "Titanic age" ? ^^ Seems to work only with dragon and not with Roccish, or Hydric)

After the age of myth and legends, there SHOULD be a "three power" or "age of XXX", when it's only 2 or 3 megabeast creature.

I agree !

I have the same problem with my "drowning room" where I assign my immigrants when I have too many of them.

It's really a pain to search for them. A string research (like in legends mode) or at least alphabetical list would be really appreciated ! Please !

The idea of bluea is quite good, but i think the menus are already very complicated, so i don't know if adding options would lighten them...

I agree with this. Civilizations could have some "preferences", such as size of cities (rural or urban), place of living (sea, moutains, forests, tundras or whatever), but also their legends, including what type of creatures they loath or love (why not a preference for Leopard in "The Glad empire", with a link to a leopard god, or statue of leopard everywhere ?). They could also be "reknown for their leathercraft", etc.

I think this could add some background to the history of the world...

If someone wants to translate it, I can help. My english is quite good, and I can do some work [for french].

On the other hand...it's true that grammar is a pain. Descriptions, mainly.
It's not a problem for me to play in english (even if it was quite hard at the beginning) but translation could really help to spread the game more heavily, and, as a consequence, would bring more money to the game. It's not just a matter of money, but if another developer could be hired...
