Semi related to earlier discussion, crowbars spawn in the spawn room as of next update.

Well, shame no-one seemed to be on today.
Tomorrow I won't really be able to play during peak times, since I'm supposed to be working. Ugh. If anything's planned for the server tomorrow though, I could always switch days and work on Friday instead. Unless people are planning on playing on Friday... hmmm.

Weekends are best. I might be holding an event Friday too, so that always brings in a few people.

I have to give one HUGE credit to the game developers... something that is unheard of for Paradox.

They really went the extra mile to include a lot of updates without relying on DLC even with a season pass already paid for (assuming the developer diary isn't updates about an upcoming DLC... which given this is Paradox... the kings of nickel and diming... I wouldn't be surprised).

This might be the least rip offy Paradox game IF I am correct... at least so far.

Have you read the dev diaries? They pretty explicitly state that they're about the upcoming DLC.

EDIT: Actually, reading over the most recent DD, there's some pretty shitty stuff in there.

This new feature gives you access to history over combats for the selected command groups in the theater. Summarizing losses to combat damage, attrition, any combat modifiers that were present and breakdown on losses to air. The idea is for you to be able to analyze the situation after the combat is over. This part will be available for everyone as part of the free 1.3 "Torch" Patch. For people who get Together For Victory there are also two more tabs available letting you dig into lists of equipment losses for you and enemies and check out performance of division templates involved in the fighting.

From what I understand, the only way to check equipment losses for yourself through this summary is to buy the DLC. Locking QoL improvements behind DLC seems like a shitty way to go.

Meeeeh. Does BYOND have a portable version to download? Dunno where to look. Asking because SS13 is now way too fancy and new for my pre-v.500 BYOND to run :P

What do you mean by portable? You can download a .zip of BYOND that you can run it out of once you extract it. It's just on the BYOND website. Most servers require you to have 509 at least now.

And I suppose the Paradox Grand strategy games too. Crusader Kings 2, Europa Universalis 4, and Hearts of Iron 4.

You missed the most complex of their grand strategy games, Victoria 2. V2 is nice, because you can kinda play it the way you want. If you want to micromanage every single aspect of your nation, push for communism or appoint a government that supports state capitalism if you're an absolute monarchy. But if you just want to sit back and manage military+diplomacy, go for a lassaiz faire economy and let capitalism take the wheel.

Slightly less complex and slightly more Early Access is My Summer Car. You're a young Finnish man who owns all of the individual components of a car and a set of wrenches. Bolt things to other things and try not to forget the head gasket.

Be warned, it's very early access, and it's easy to lose a lot of progress because the game crashes, or glitches out and kills you for no reason. I would recommend playing it with permadeath off, because it's just too buggy to deal with losing all your progress to a quirk of the game. Example, I was going 30km or so along a straight road, hit a small bump in the road (nothing out of the ordinary) and instantly died, losing about 5 hours of gameplay. After losing more progress to crashes and other silly physics glitches like cars rocketing off to space when you close the door, I gave up on the game. Might be worth checking out in a few months to a year, but right now it's a little iffy.

Try the Silent Hunter series. Manual computation of heading, bearing and torpedo attacks.

Silent Hunter 3 is generally regarded as the best entry in the series, but there are some amazing mods for 5 that can make it as good if not better.

what was the game submarine SS13 mix catastrophe/fuckup siumulator with monstruous monster ?

Barotrauma. Not the most complex game though, in its current state it's easy to master all the roles. Compared to SS13 it's basically pong.

What speed/difficulty are you on to be hitting Industrial Age by 50 AD? That seems super early.

But she's not Russian. Peter "The Great" is the leader of Russia.
Catherine De Medici is leader of France.
At first I was confused a bit too. I mean, everyone knows Peter but who the fuck is that French Catherine? There are multiple questionable leader choices (Afaik, Barbarossa (not the pirate) was mainly known for failing at crusade and rotting in a barrel).

A few of the choices are a little iffy in my opinion, like Phillip II for Spain. He was notable for failing at an invasion of England and losing the Spanish Netherlands after trying to violently get rid of Protestantism there. And Gorgo was the wife of the most famous Spartan king. Hell, her unique ability is named after the battle he's famous for. But she's the leader. As for Catherine, she makes more sense to me than Gorgo at least. She never ruled in her own right, but had a ton of influence, especially over her sons, and was pretty much the de facto monarch when she was regent IIRC. Barbarossa was also a very effective and important ruler before he fell off his horse and rotted in a barrel.

So while I think some of the choices are iffy, the ones you pointed out make a bit of sense to me. There are more well known French leaders than Catherine, but it seems like they're trying to be more diverse and include more women. At the same time, they could've swapped Phillip out for Isabella and Gorgo out for Leonidas and they'd have the same numbers while also having ruler choices make more sense. But w/e, Isabella will probably show up in some future DLC.
