Hey Meph, is there any point in transforming Berserkers and Dwarfs of the Legion in Stonebounds? Do they maintain the benefits from the previous caste?

I did some experiments and it looks like they maintain the high attributes (strenght in particular), although it seems that the transformation has about 50% chance of failing: consuming the components but not changing the caste (at least, according to dwarf therapist, I didn't check the z screen).

Also, at this moment I am sitting on a squad of 3 stonebounds, 7 berserkers/dwarfs of legion, all of them with 5 padded shirts / full suite of plate steel armor components and runic pikes. I am itching for a fight

I think there is a problem with castes and transformations, Meph talked about that a while ago, but im unable to find it.

im notan expert, but its possiple by changing the ethics of the dwarfs. Keep in mind that butchering sentient creatures is a thing most races dislike, so you might end up at war with humans and elves during world gen, but thats a bit random.

Apart from this, i think if you manage to cut off some body parts (not sure which one) it will not be considered part of the goblin and at least the bones get usable. So basically shredder the goblin into fine bits to get all the bones you can.

Caves are in my opinion just a live training place for the militia, when they have some experience and decent armor and weapons, they get send down there to engage everything they see.

You often get silk for an acceptable prize from caravans, wood is only needed for beds and (if you dont want to use metal) bins and gems.... well, strip mining is far less dangerous and brings you do more legendary miners in no time.

Tried unzipping the save file with 7zip, but it says that "CRC failed in MW-Succession Spring\site 897.dat. File is broken"

Maybe I have the wrong version of masterwork?

Maybe I have the wrong settings enabled?

Yeah, splitting that up would have helped maybe.

But still, this story has everything it takes to be dwarfen:

- Involvement of Magma (and deads due to it for bonus points)
- Dwarfs getting creedy and digging to deep
- Dwarfs getting completely murdered in vast numbers
- A hero slaying a foul beast, leaving behind something for the engravers to decorate dining halls, personal rooms and some other surfaces noone will look at ever again.

It should be. Its not an ore, but it has a use apart from making a trumpet from it.
