It won't be the first world to die. I think this is world gen number five. Maybe number four. I have vague memories of the first world being discarded due to running out of volcanos, but I don't know how accurate that is.
I do know that two were discarded for crashing far more often than they ought to.
I figure whenever the world/save eventually goes to hell, or the features of 0.40.xx become too awesome to not have (0.34.01 didn't have minecarts, for instance. That came in around 0.34.08 if I recall correctly), we'll move up to whatever the current version is.
It looks like most of the updates/fixes are for Adventure mode. The save corruption, quarry bushes, and 9/10 things not growing beyond baby are fort related. The growing issue isn't likely to have much effect in Dronk Fortress, the forts don't live long enough for anything to grow anyway
Ranching could be an issue I suppose.
Went with magma as the end of the fort, largely because I suspect Scruffy will show up.
