I just had a thought. Why not have a white mage involved with the moon? Uses the werebeast lunar counter to cast spells. Strongest at a full moon and can cast a special buff on all allies on a full moon or something? Maybe make them do something cool to werebeasts? :)

Yeah, I thought the same, but I tried to keep them 3x3. I can easily make them 5x3 and give them a better design, but they are super-basic workshops and I dont want them to take up much space.
I'd prefer them being 5 x 3

*EDIT* What if butchers use surgery skill instead, it's rare to have so many animals to butcher that they will neglect their medical duties and considering the usual state of a dwarven hospital a butchers shop isn't that far off anyway. :))
I dont think you understood what Meph just said. Buthering at the butcher is hardcoded to use the butcher skill. We can't change it. Tanning is the same; that's why diplomacy is used to tan hides. Weird huh?

If you take control of your military commander and swap back to fort mode you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that the only remaining member of your fort will be the last unit you controlled. It's game breaking
