I haven't played in a while, and my searches on the forums so far have been fruitless, so I'm resorting to asking.

What is the utility that allows you to see the number of minerals in an embark site.  I'm tired of having to import flux at every site.
As far as I know there is no utility? Anyhow, if it's flux you're looking for it will say FLUX at embark.

#NOTE also I noticed this duplicate body part thing extends to giant soldier ants as well as the drones. Funnily enough the queens are okay though.

Okay a quick bug report;
No. 1: Yet again, reporting the error in golems descriptions. All are described as having been equipped with a spear.
No 2: Giant drone ants. my god... The amount of duplicate body parts these things have. Have a look at them!
Anyhow, loving things so far! keep the updates rolling!

Oi Meph! You never fixed the golems descriptions! I still have speargolems who are described as having hammers! *cracks whip* get to work!

Building. It uses DF hack (a 3rd party program) to work.

Alright then. Thanks for clearing that up. No complaints from me though. 14 dwarfs and I've got 9 legendaries within them producing masterwork steel swords crossbows axes and bolts int he first year. I feel this fort will go far.

If possible, the game draws migrants from historical figures, so you can get dwarfs from earlier forts, former caravan guards or even retired adventurers.
Thanks for the info. But these migrants included some from the starting 7... Aren't they created outside of world gen, and they havn't been doing much to get into the historical figures list :P Or is everyone who ever lived in that list? I thought the starting 7 had to kill something signifigant or something to get into that list.

Em.. Just asking this because I didn't actually know this was possible, but I've gotten a wave of migrants from a retired fort of mine. Discussion on this? I didn't know this was a feature! Quite nice to start a new fort and for your legendary armourer/weaponsmith/miner/engraver from your last fort arrives, albeit horribly depressed due to the reasons the last fort was abandoned.

@godlysockpuppet: I always embark on 3x3, so I wouldnt know. But you might want to report that to the DFhack guys, or falconne in the "construction helper plugin" thread. But my guess is just not enough virtual memory...
Run into this problem several times before (I've a shitty laptop) so no surprises here.

Every time I go to make walls or floors on an embark larger than 4x5 DF crashes :P Any idea why? I've a funny feeling these new DF hack mudles are to blame.
