((Actually, I'm trying to hide that I just accidentally gave a child hallucinogens, so it's better if she stays out of the room for the time being. None of you have seen that. Maybe the question about how long the effects last did gave me away. But I'm going to defend my fake innocence unless you can prove that I'm guilty.))

Oh crap he's on to me. Damn, damn, damn, now he's going to report me and- Oh wait, they can't do anything worse to me than this. Okay, okay, don't panic, be cool. Think, Flint, think. Use your actor powers to distract him and confuse him.
@Miyamoto:"What? I didn't drink any. I was just thinking about taking a small sip to take care of all this stress of trying to get this child to stand still and talk to me. I'm an actor dammit I'm not a psychologist. And the only role that I played in that had children in it was a guard in 'Sharley and the weapons factory'. And in that movie, the moral was: 'misbehave and you'll either end up getting shot in the back by a guard, testing prototype weapons on your own body, working in a sweatshop or get eaten by a giant robo-bear'." Giant cyborg bears always worked as a distraction. Probably because they were giant.

((To spoil a bit. Yes, she had Medical experience, but not in the appliance of such in the field. To support this, she uses conventional weaponry knowledge instead of mundane medical work to fix the stuff.
((So shooting people to health instead of shooting them to death? Interesting approach. I think I'm going to take my chances with waiting and praying to Pathmas instead of shooting or kicking the drugs out of the child.))
Though, technically, I believe that Piecewise won't be cold enough to apply my [-2] Medical Roll if you make me act to take care of the child :) ...I hope.))
Oh dear, clearly someone has not read my under picture text.

((Someone, order Feyri to do something useful for Team C! Please?))
Feyri: Gurad Flint's suit and weapons, so that Miyamoto and the rest of the team can go investigate the screaming.

((Any objections to this people who know Tiruin better, team and team leader? It's a safe-ish action, since the building is probably clear, it is a useful action, since powerful weapons and armor should never be left unattended in the presence of small children or homicidal adults and she can support Flint if the building isn't clear.

Anybody knows if Feyri has Medic experience? Maybe she can help with the child. (Only as a last resort though. I wouldn't want one of my bad rolls to turn her into a child-killer without Tiruin's knowledge... Plus I bet Feyri would have to say a lot about the situation if she found out what Flint has done.) ))

Well least it's not running away. What does this thing have in it? I don't understand what its problem is. My father used to give me booze all the time when he wanted to shut me up and I turned out fine. Flint told himself. ...Maybe it should had run away...

@Anyone:"So, can anybody answer a question, that is by the way completely unrelated to me or my situation? Anybody knows how long the effects from a sip of xeno spit last?"

Take the child in my arms and sit somewhere. Read the label of the xeno spit bottle for any useful info. Stay with the child and make sure nothing (else) bad happens to it (like it swallows its tongue or something). Inspect the child for anything wrong that wasn't caused by me.Hope it wakes up soon. Hope I haven't done any lasting damage.

I'm not good with children, I never liked those little beasts, always wanting stuff and crying and seeking attention. How was I supposed to know what to do? And besides, it's not my fault. How the hell was I supposed to know this is a hallucinogen? And it's not like I'll scar his 'sensitive little mind'. Seeing his parents burn to death was probably 10 times worse. Flint kept trying to make himself feel better with excuses. It wasn't working.

I know this is probably futile considering what we're facing but restrain our anger and use our wit, cunning, wisdom and abrasive personality to out-wit, out-annoy, out-mock and out-nonsense that out-sourced "human". I wonder if a display like that would prove that we're smarter than him or just plain crazier.
I see what you did there. ; ) Looking forward to it.
Or we can just take the high-road, treat him with disdain and just ignore this. But who wants to take the highroad? It's so high. I get tired just thinking about climbing it. The middle road is better. Because the low road is so steep.

EDIT: I just realised two things a)We got Indian HAL instead of Indiana Jones and b) a "medicinal" plant from India, grown in the probably remote engine area. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Open, throw a bio bomb, close.
Tell the zombies to stand near the walls of the hallway. Don't want to loose more.

It's an electric controlled door, so it pretty much is either shut or open, no partial opening.
You can always smash the controls or something and then use brute force to operate it.

Keep talking in a soothing manner (sing a lullaby? sing "warm kitty"?) and continue slowly approaching the child. If I manage to get close enough offer it my hand. If the child runs, go after it and catch it.

"Bring out yer dead?"

((@People giving me control: Well, I seem to have the situation under control for now, and I don't want to RP someone else's actions, especially concerning such a sensitive matter. It would feel wrong, like someone else writing a sequel instead of the original author. But if the screams Stacy evoked weren't imaginary we may face battle soon. If that happens I'll try to make her fire from cover... although judging from previous behavior that's out of character too! :P))

Why not Darth Vader then? If we start misbehaving and we get caught he can say: "You are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor. Take him away."

That's the AI that was trying to drive us mad with that lock isn't it? joking:We are going to smash your processors to pieces and have our sweet revenge, you prankster!

I'm just going to throw a bunch of ideas out here, since I'm still thinking about this.
I'm not very good with names so I'll try a little "fun with acronyms":MiCAL=Mission Control Artificial Lifeform or BARNEI=BARNEI Autonomous Recursively Named Evolving Intelligence

A man with a military uniform, strong and beutiful. His hair is short, but not too much. His voice is otherworldly and slow, his sentences short and to the point.
An average but fairly beutiful woman in a tight dress. Her dark hair are tied in a ponytail. She seems to be always happy and often smiles, but her voice is a bit too high pitched and she seems almost annoyingly overexcited at times. Just read/realised that it says man, not human.
An average man in dark jeans, a white shirt and a dark suit. His hair is short. In his eyes are bright orange hemicircles rotating as the two halves of the circle seem to chase each other. His voice is calm and commanding, with a hint of distortion for the roboty effect.
A stereotypical soviet submarine captain, complete with the beard, navy attire and accent.

Sure. As prepared as one can be for the wondrous, awe inspiring and frightening experience of going to space for the first time, on a place like nothing we've ever seen before.

@Team C:"Hold your fire! Hold your fire! I think there's a child in here." said Flint, just in case any of his trigger happy friends got any ideas. "I'm going to try and talk to it. Probably just spooked about the whole situation." And rightfully so.

@Miyamoto:"I'm getting out of my suit. Can you try to stay close to it? I wouldn't like anyone stealing it. Especially anyone who may mean us harm."

@Feyri:"I could really use your help here Miss Nirel. A motherly figure is what every scared child needs and you're the closest thing we have to it."

Take a few steps back, preferably out of the room if the door is close, get out of my suit and lift my faceplate to look more human and less intimidating. Enter the room slowly. Try to look friendly and grandfatherly. ((Is that even a word?)) If the child runs follow it. If it stays try to gain its trust. Say:"Howdy there little fella. Relax I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm here to help. Me and my friends have come to take you to a nicer place." If movies were to be believed, it helped distracting traumatized children, either with sweets or with something shiny. If I seem to get the child's attention offer it the (presumably shiny) bottle of Xeno spit. Say: "I bet you must be hungry and thirsty, all alone all this time down here. Do you want some of my special drink? I promise you, it's very good." Don't let the child drink more than a small sip. Flint knew that giving a young child such potent alcohol wasn't exactly right but he didn't really had much to go on. I should have brought some chocolate... he regretted. ((Let's hope the child doesn't know and/or doesn't care about stranger danger, the dangers of candy taking and other such nonsense.))

Unless Feyri does something better in which case try to stay away and not scare the child.

((Hopefully here is where that charisma of mine comes in handy. Unless it's some kind of evil goblin-child that wants to steal my equipment. Sorry for the long text, but so many possibilities here. I'm not going to leave it all up on a speach roll if I can help it. Remember what happened the last time HMRC tried to interact with children? (Spoiler: revenge seeking orphans) And the time before that? (Spoiler: the GM's signature)))

Well, we are going to an important human celebration on an important human place, so I think it would be appropriate if we brought some kind of gift. We could bring them a traditional goblin gift, we could bring them something that is prized by goblins, we could use some human technology and mix it with goblin ingenuity and tradition to make the perfect gift, we could bring them something traditionally used by goblins to celebrate the end of a war, we could bring them something that may interest the humans, some valuable ore etc. And we are a shaman/storyteller. Our gift can be a great story, maybe one about how good peace is. And although I am against concealed weapons, what better place to hide a weapon then a trojan gift? Unless goblins don't give each other gifts.

Oh, and since we'll probably be meeting with dignitaries, do we know some etiquette/good manners? We don't want to look like savages.

((I just realized we are the collaborators. We are working with the Invaders and enjoying the benefits, while we overlook that we are not treated as equals, and that they are taking over, because we think it's for the best, that they are our friends and that resistance is futile. If this were a movie, we'd fight with the hero for a while and then we'd probably sacrifice/redeem ourselves so the hero can capture/destroy the human ship and save all goblins or something. Good thing it's not a movie. At least, if this were a movie, we'd know the hero can't be our nemesis, Raun-Khet, because he fought dishonourably. Unless he realizes his mistakes and becomes a better person or something. But that doesn't mean he can't be a recurring villain. Hmm...))

Have we heard anything from the other tribes? How is our breakaway "tribe" doing with the whole "being friends with the aliens" thing?

Name:Flint/Deeper Scum - Team C - Housing block C, Approaching the goblin dark fortress

"Well, I'm going in, wish me luck."

Enter the building, shield up. Check the room for hostiles. Continue shouting non-threats like:"Please, don't do anything foolish.", "Don't shoot we mean you no harm." and "We are here to help."

@Stacy:"Once you're done exploring, see if you can broadcast our intentions through the radio. Maybe someone is still listening." After some thought Flint added:"...And by "our intentions" I mean our intentions to help these people, not shoot them and loot their homes." Normally such a clarification was unnecessary, but you can never know with the HMRC.
