Well I got the loop to work with a typical character array, but not with an std::string.

A1, you are wrong. Entering a turn-based encounter that a PKer is waiting in is much more ensnaring than entering a real-time one. Rather than running in RT and maybe getting shot or maybe getting away, in TB you have to sit there and wait for the predator to take two turns with absolutely no chance of escape. Traveling in real-time won't save you from this fate, as you will be forced into whatever combat mode the first person in the encounter is using. I reiterate: level your outdoorsman. I myself have been a jerk and set up turn-based trap encounters using signal flares and my fast shot character who can fire twenty times in one turn with a plasma pistol. Even hardcore big gunner apes can't do anything about it.

Why would the size change? The size is 0, meaning that there is no ore left that can be mined without digging deeper.

There are no town bombings in FOnline 2 due to there being no timed explosives and people being unable to loot corpses in guarded towns. Bursting in towns is only used to troll people, as those slain can't be looted.

Goings on
A lot of shit happened.

The Dwarves and Humans trade large tracts of land with one another, the former not wanting to be trapped within the center of the western continent and the latter seeking territory free from Kobolds vermin. At the same time the Humans embark on an offensive, destroying the Kobold territories near their borders. Unfortunately, Kobold agents have already infiltrated Human territory, in addition to the endless hordes of Kobold thieves that plague Human production. As iron ore is transported from the newly-Dwarven eastern territory to that of the Humans, Kobold master thieves are confused and unable to locate it.

1 Human town and 7 farms/fisheries are destroyed by the dragon, Kobolds steal the captives and plunder.
1 Dwarven forge is destroyed by the dragon whilst smelting steel, which the dragon and subsequently the Kobolds steal.
2 Hobbit fisheries destroyed by the dragon, Kobolds steal the plunder.
13 Elven farms/fisheries and 2 Elven villages destroyed by the dragon, Kobolds stole as much plunder as they could.
22 Human farms/fisheries had their output stolen by the Kobolds.

They're going to have a hard time leaving the map with all of the town's police force chasing them, and if they kill any police officers themselves they will be permanently exiled from the town.
