I fucking adore your sci-fi sprites, those are so cool! I see that cute ass dragon too. Is there anywhere else I can follow your work?

Life Advice / Re: The Generic Computer Advice Thread

I'm on my Windows 10 PC, I have two pairs of headphones and I want to get both pairs to output my desktop audio without needing to buy a splitter.

I have a front panel headphone jack and of course I have the sound card in the back with speaker, stereo mix, and headphone jacks. I tried various things with my 2nd pair of headphones in either the speaker and or heaphones jacks in the back. I tried using the Realtek HD Audio Manager since there's a toggle you'd think would solve this called "make front and rear output devices play two different audio streams simultaneously" but that didn't do anything. I'm really baffled that this is so hard to figure out, any advice?

Cygames makes gachapon games so it's not unlikely that it's a gachapon game too, which yes means a grind. The significance of the grind really depends on the gameplay though.

It's almost like no one has ever played Hearts of Iron, or literally any other historical WW2 game, as Germany or Russia before. This really shouldn't keep coming up.

Play With Your Buddies / Re: Parsely Streams: Pathologic

Well I had to uninstall and reinstall Stalker to actually start a new game, and I didn't want to wait so me and GentlemanRaptor played Pathologic instead. We had a lot of fun playing so we're probably going to play it again next Wednesday.

I've moved Duelyst to the weekends because I want Wednesdays to be for another game (whatever I feel like playing that week or perhaps what people would like me to play), so we're going to be playing Stalker in 6.5 hours!

Yeah it's a shame that it's so hacky. For us we just don't want title text since the page in question is obviously visually the home page. In our case we can fix this without hacky CSS just by wrapping the logo in an <h1> and using the alt text as the title.

I did a little more research on accessible hiding methods and you should never use "display: none" or "visibility: hidden" to hide text you want to be accessible to screen readers because hiding an element using those methods causes the screen reader to ignore it, and I found that that's in fact how we were hiding our <h1>.

Source: https://webaim.org/techniques/css/invisiblecontent/

In that source article there are also helpful suggested methods for hiding text while keeping it accessible to screen readers. We're going to be fixing this soon, I feel like I'm learning so much!

Out of curiosity, is there anyone else who has worked with the SiteImprove technology, or on W3 accessibility in general?

Right now I'm working in SiteImprove and it flagged our home page as not having a top-level heading. We do have an <h1> tag but it's invisible so that only people with screen readers can detect it. If I disable CSS and JS it exposes the header and the software is happy. I'm pretty sure we're compliant on this issue since I can't find any WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) documentation that says we can't hide headers, but I want to be 100%. Does anyone know if hiding an <h1> like this is a bad practice?

Type 4 hair I would describe as kinky or coiled. Really the difference between different levels of curl in hair is the distance between each full curl and the size of each major strand. Right now your character looks like they have wavy hair because the outline of their hair is one big long curve.

Ignore the interior details, focus on the silhouette. The silhouette of your reference is not very useful if you want to show that the hair is coily.

This is a better reference IMO:

I wish I could give some examples of how to draw this but honestly I tried and I couldn't do it lol, it's kinda hard! Good luck with this.

I took the liberty of animating these for Arx's benefit, hope that's OK. If not I'll edit them out right away.

There are some walking animations (up, down, and right/left), and a bowing animation in there. This character is really cute!

Lost in the first round, 1-2, thanks to everyone who came to watch! I had a lot of fun showing off the rest of the tourney after I was knocked out.
